Fantastic Nayarita maricos restaurant.
Do not miss the "Taco Gobernador." Marisco El Palma's taco al gobernador features grilled shrimp and white cheese stuffed in double corn tortillas that are griddled until the outer tortilla is crunchy and the cheese melts. The greasy shrimp are excellent by themselves; they pick up marvelous flavor from both the grill and seasoning. The gooey cheese and crispy tortilla are there for texture. A thin, earthy salsa spiked with roasted chiles de árbol is supplied on the side. The salsa is not necessary, but it helps what already is the best taco al gobernador I have eaten north of San Diego.
Also, be sure to order the "Langostinos," a plate of buttery, garlicky, spicy, and splendid sea bugs with a hellishly hot salsa verde.
Not much English is spoken within the walls of Mariscos La Palma, as this is the kind of operation built to feed the local community, not food tourists. Food comes out of the kitchen fast, and although this restaurant always has patrons, it's never cramped.
Been here for 30 just waiting for the rest of my family to get here. Then waited other 15 min for a water to come take our oder. Which is fine then they oderded a drinks then they brought us a drink we did not oder hopegully they dont charges for it cuz i don't want to argue to day. They do have live music for mothers day but Mexicans celebrate it on the 10 of may so its not to busy today. For it not being a busy day tge lady sure took forever to bring our things. Took them almost an hour for our food to be done. Happy they made the kids food first cuz they were getting fussy. The food came out and it was worth the wait. :) food was good the music was good even though it was hard to talk to each other cuz its a small place for live music.but hey it was ok with me.
