Best bread outside of Arthur Ave. Bravisomo! Also recommend the crumb buns, pizza crusts and refrigerated pastas especially the manicotti. When I am in need of a true hoagie sub like a Cheesesteak ask for the grinder rolls in the back. If only Google could capture the smells that Mario's brings to Hopewell. Grazie!

Like a slice of little italy in Dutchess county! Delcious fresh assortment of italian bread, semolina, bastones, dinner rolls, etc. They also have fresh mozzarella, ricotta, dry pasta, and frozen manicotti and raviolis. Cash only, but they have an ATM. Check em out!

Can't go wrong at Mario's. Always delicious, fresh, fairly priced - and the staff are always pleasant. The only "problem" you may run into is a long wait time, but that's only because their stuff is so delicious that they're that popular. It's worth the wait, trust me. Don't miss their olive bread, bastone, ciabbatta, and deli rolls. Oh heck, don't miss any of it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Not sure if ownership changed or they changed their recipes but something is different about the bread texture, flavor and reduced size. Maybe I'm wrong? Update. The bastone has shrunk again. I don't know what they are doing there but hopefully they stop. Update again. Bastone is smaller than ever and they raised the prices again. Another update. The Bastone now only takes up about 66% of the bag when I know for a fact it used to stick out of the bag. Eventually you’ll have to pay them just to look at the bread. Sad to see the local gems you once loved completely change.

Always the best bread and homemade ravioli! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I purchased two boxes of ravioli yesterday and was very disappointed when I served them to my family that they were obviously spoiled. It was my first time shopping here and I will not be back. I had high hopes and heard good things but this was such a bad experience.

I suspect Mario’s puts addictive substances in this bread because I cannot stop buying it! Eating a Mario’s roll is like eating a baby angel. Highly recommend it!!!
