We had the best tour with the best guide (Kim), the best place and the best day possible (it was only my wife and me). We got to know how MandaLao works, their motto, their way of helping the community, taking care of the elephants. It was real experience meeting these guys. We are sure that we went to the right place because there were no signs of animal suffering nor animal labor (we didn't do anything else than feeding and walking aside the elephants). We made their food, fed them, got to know a little bit of the history of the project and of the elephants. We took a lot of photos and we are very sure this is a place we recommend to visit without any hesitation. The whole crew was available to answer any questions we made. I really hope that they succeed in this mission and that the family of elephants increase. Service Dine in Meal type Other Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just by the great job & mission they are running with the elephants this place is worth to visit. In addition to that, the place if full of experience and knowledge, they will receive you with a complete explanation of what is happening today with the elephants and how they run this place, then you will cross the river to have some hours with the elephants not only by feeding them but by having a nice walk next to them through the rainforest. Important note, the main experience is to walk through the rainforest next to the elephants, if by any reason you can’t walk through this terrain (as one person in my group) you will still be able to have the experience of feeding them. It's a beautiful restaurant to enjoy a good meal after a great experience with the elephants across the river. The view is fantastic, the food was very good and the staff is super friendly and attentive.

No elephant rides! Just elephant love! So much love and caring. Warms my heart to see them have a second chance for a good life. Worth every penny.

Had a terrific experience with the half day elephant walk. They pick you up from your hotel and take you to their lovely compound across the river from the elephants. They then explained the sanctuary, fit you into some galoshes, and boat you over to the elephants. Got to feed them a metric ton of bananas and then have a peaceful walk through the forest. It's pricy but worth it given the quality of their organization and how personalized the entire experience feels.
Walking in the forest with happy elephants was a dream come true. These are a rescue elephants and they have a "no ride" policy. Worth the extra money to go to this sanctuary.
Amazing place, THE place to go if you really love and care for elephant.
This is not an open to the public restaurant, it is only available to Mandalao guests who are on tour. The food is by far the most delicious in LPB! A great way to end your trek with the elephants.
