They had the best Chorba (Soup) with fish I ever ate in Tunisia. Also the salad Tunisien is very well seasoned. Everything is clean and freshly cooked. I also liked the Ambiente. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person TND 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you are looking for traditional food in Djerba, come to Mamie Fatima. You will not be dissapointed if you take lamb with rice. Dishes are carefully prepared and served. It’s a perfect place to start/finish visiting street art area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We received excellent English service from the lady who worked here. She accommodated our dietary restrictions (no meat or fish). Try the pistachio juice here it's awesome! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person TND 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best food we had on the island. We always ordered the special of the day and returned twice. They were able to make our dishes vegetarian as the daughter's English is impeccable. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person TND 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The owners of Wostel Hostel where I was staying a few blocks away recommended Mamie Fatima to me when I asked for a good restaurant, so I was expecting it to be good. But it exceeded my expectations. They had beef cous-cous on the specials menu. I asked if they could prepare vegetable cous-cous instead and they obliged for a lower price. I think that is the best cous-cous I've ever had and I traveled a lot in Morocco and Tunisia in the past. Pumpkin is in season and that made it extra yummy. The Tunisian salad is crunchy and delicious, nothing like the bland lettuce with a tomato that some cultures call a salad. I was going to try their sherbet, but they were out, so the owner's daughter who is also the server and cashier recommended a pistachio milk drink that they make themselves. Wow! So creamy and delicious. Today I went back and got a rice dish, also very yummy but too filling. I hate to waste food, but I couldn't finish it all. I tried the hazelnut milk, but like the owner's daughter said, the pistachio is the best. And their dishes and decor are very beautiful and traditional. Don't take it to go.
