If you are looking for "Americanized" Mexican food, have at it. Not judging (much). But if you want the real thing that is, in my opinion, the absolute best, savory, and perfectly prepared Mexican dishes, this is the place. The Station location also has the atmosphere I'd be proud to take my best friends to! As for the service and the servers, it's nice to be somewhere where everyone seems to actually like their job! I even had the chance to meet the owner who couldn't have been more gracious! We are looking forward to going back as soon as possible! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was ok far as Mexican food is concerned but we just moved from socal my lo doesn't eat corn tortillas so she couldn't eat her food. The Fresca was yummy get the hibiscus. Might go back for guacamole and salsa and a drink but will pass on main dish Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Enchiladas
Great food, and our servers have always been excellent. There are two seating areas with dramatically different vibes, and we've always been seated in the back area so I can't say much about the atmosphere of the trendy looking front area, but the back is pretty no-frills. It's perfectly clean and suits us fine since we usually have the kids with us. Place was very clean and service and food were so good! We got the large size guac and there was so much of it, we were happy to take some home as leftovers! The fajitas are the size of a small child. The egg and potato tacos are delicious. The French toast coated in caramel sauce; also 5 stars! Never a bad meal here!!!! Excellent food - the weekend brunch was a nice surprise, and that breakfast torta was absolutely delicious! The drink I had was also lovely: cold brew coffee with horchata. The service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. A great place if you're in downtown Champaign! Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Let me say this now: BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS. I’ll say it one more time so the people in the back can hear it: BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOLD IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS. Is it a bit pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. I’ll start with the atmosphere and service. This Maize restaurant, unlike the one on Green Street, is full service—sit down and you are waited on. The atmosphere inside is upscale and modern, but has some charm. The servers are really friendly and knowledgable. Did somebody say happy hour? Yes! On weekdays (M-F) all appetizers are half off from 4-6pm. We took advantage — ordered the unlimited chips & salsa flight AND guacamole. Guacamole was clearly made in-house, chips were warm and crispy, and all the salsas (the four unique salsas from the flight + the standard red salsa) were flavorful and addicting. Ordered steak chalupas for dinner. They were incredibly TASTY and FILLING! I ordered them fried - the shell was incredibly crisp to my liking! It also came with rice and beans - delicious as well!Seriously one of the best Mexican dinners I’ve had in a while. Will be back again in the future! 🇲🇽 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Recommended dishes Complimentary Tortilla Chips and Salsa

I had Pastor tacos, very good and full of meat more than most places. My wife had chicken Fajitas taste was very good but had about 4 times the peppers and onions as it did meat. Meat had a great flavor but was not near enough compared to vegetables for the price. They also only have corn tortillas except for their burritos. To me this is no big deal but for some it could be. All in all was a good experience and our waitress was very good Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love this place, and we will be returning every time we visit the area! There are two locations, so be aware they are completely different. There is a small takeout restaurant with stool/counter seating on Green St., and there is a full restaurant at The Station. This is specific to The Station. The server we had was fabulous! He provided very helpful tips and explanations for questions we had on menu items. You'll find a full bar with a ton of really great drink options and a wonderful food menu! You'll find the expected, and then you'll find the unexpected! For instance, they have a salsa flight, which is a must try! It's generous, a fun way to sample the sauces while waiting for your food, and incredibly reasonable! There are squash blossom options that can be added to most options and a lot of great menu items to choose from if you're looking for vegetarian fare. You won't find any flour tortillas here. They are all handmade blue corn tortillas - very fresh and delicious! Lots of convenient parking available right outside the restaurant. I highly recommend stopping here, whether you're visiting a student on campus or just in the area with friends or family. The food is absolutely delicious!
