My family & I came to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It was my husband & I with our two children. My 3 year old son & our 8 month old daughter. It was a Monday night (not busy) and around 5pm. Upon arrival, we were greeted awkwardly by the hostess who sounded like she just smoked a pack of cigarettes. As my sweet 3 year old looked up at her telling her it was his Mommy’s birthday and proceeded to sing “Happy Birthday” in the sweetest voice, she ignored him & looked to me & my husband just to ask “can the baby sit in a booth?” I replied “no…. We would like a high chair please.” She refused to give us one (claiming it was a fire hazard) & told us we would have to hold her. The restaurant was not busy and plenty of tables available. But she says they were all reserved. Ugh….. ok. But she offered no other solution and gave us a weird look telling us we could leave or hold the child…. Wow! Way to make us feel welcome lady! She definitely gave us the impression that our baby wasn’t welcome and we needed to leave. We told her we would go ahead and try the booth. It quickly wasn’t working out as our daughter needed a seat. The waitress was no help either. Offering no suggestions nor making us feel welcome. Also, there are no changing areas for our daughter. My husband had to change her diaper out back! We ended up leaving with a horrible impression of this restaurant. We felt we were treated terribly & with no customer service even from the awkward manager that tried to speak to us. Offering AGAIN, no solution and making us uncomfortable and just wanting out of here as fast as possible. This place is NOT for families. And DO NOT accommodate little ones. If you have children STEAR CLEAR. They are not welcome. Get it together Maine Street Coastal. You’re in Cartersville, GA. Not Midtown. Families should NEVER be made to feel this way especially on the mother’s birthday. Y’all are a bunch of JERKS! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
This place has good reviews and terrible food, how is that possible? Well, when I saw the clientele, it makes sense. The food is awful, we sent a couple appetizers back the first time, and the came back the exact same and realized that they just serve it that way. The wontons had zero filling, and came out burnt, twice. The oysters were dunked in ocean water before hitting our table. The shrimp and grits, fried block of sand with overcooked shrimp. The bread.. the bread was the only thing that was edible. They should close the restaurant and turn it into a bakery. Funny thing is that we told the server and the manager about the food, and it was a shoulder shrug, like, whatever.. do not waste your money here! My wife and I had dinner for Valentine's Day. The server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was not too crowded or busy. The only complaint I had was the fish was very oily. Otherwise a great experience. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Oysters Rockefeller

The atmosphere is good and the service is good. The 2nd time visiting. But the seafood is still really salty. We had to order more bread to balance out the saltiness. Not gonna try again. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was fine, but the food was terrible. My crab cake sandwich was mushy and could "drip" off the bun. Really, it was almost the consistency of an uncooked pancake. My wife ordered sea bass. Very little flavor and the smallest filet I've ever seen for $38. My son ordered the lobster tails.they were really the only thing edible on the table... other than their bread. Their bread is very good. Overall, terrible food. We won't be back. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
