About
Having seen Fairhaven Historic District, it's time to have a rest at this restaurant. Explore the world of Laotian and Thai cuisines here. Maikham serves nicely cooked curry duck, pad thai and spring rolls. The advisable dish is the good mango sticky rice. It's time to degustate delicious wine or good beer. Some guests recommend great ice tea, thai iced tea or americano at this place. This spot is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the visitors' viewpoint, prices are average. There is a pleasant atmosphere and nice decor at this restaurant. The average rating of Maikham on Google is 4.7.

My husband ordered to go. I had asked for a chicken Pad Thai. I took a bite and was really disappointed. Under sauced (very little flavor), no bean sprouts, no peanuts, no basil, but there was under cooked cauliflower and broccoli pieces in it (unexpected). I can appreciate that it’s an unconventional version of Pad Thai, but I would recommend noting that in the menu so people are not surprised (there seem to be more than one review noting the exact same thing that I did). Unfortunately, I didn’t eat it and ordered the Pad Thai from Busara. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

We had the Phad Kimaow, isaan lemongrass sausage appetizer, duck curry, and Lao special. These were very delicious and flavorful dishes which were all very different from each other. My favorite dish was the phad kimaow. The thickness of the noodle balance with basil, chicken, and sauce was devine. The lao special is chicken with papaya salad had a nice charred taste and balance with the lemony salty fresh taste of the papaya salad. It was slightly bland, I have a preference for Laotian papaya salad. The duck curry was good too but it lacked meat. The issan lemongrass sausage was flavorful with a nice lemongrass and spicy kick, it is similar to Lao sausage. This was our first time trying this restaurant. Our niece raved about this place as it brings back memoriesof her dad's cooking. We will be back to try other dishes. Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Okay so this is my first ever review on Google reviews. I don’t normally leave a review regardless of whether I had the best food, or the worst service. I’m not one to deviate from what I love from certain cuisines and for anything Thai related, I always go for pad thai. I was so excited to try this new spot (I normally eat at luxe thai or soupons)for takeout after a long shift. I have never been so immediately disappointed as when I opened up my pad thai. I second another review that mentions the undercooked and odd choice of broccoli, cauliflower and no beansprouts, peanuts, or basil in sight. It was pale and readily apparent that there was no sauce or flavor upon opening my container and sadly, every bite confirmed what I assumed. 10/10 will not be looking to here for any pad thai needs. The Pad Thai was so bad that I thought I was given the wrong order. I called thinking there was a mix up and the owner accused me of trying to get free food. The Pad Thai is just uniquely bad ! Price per person $20–30 Food: 1
Friendly staff and delicious authentic Thai food. We ordered the satay gai as an appetizer, which came with very tasty sauces, and the phlaa koong shrimp salad was very refreshing. If you love pad thai but want to diverge from your regular order, I would highly recommend the chan pad pou dish (crab fried noodles with tamarind sauce), it is definitely my new favorite and I don't know of any other places that have this. A delightful environment to enjoy a meal with friends and family! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Phlaa Koong

OMG this place is amazing! What a gem of a place. I can't wait to plan another visit to Fairhaven just so I can eat here again. If you love Thai food, authentic Thai food, Markham is NOT to be missed!
