I recently moved to the area, so I still recall driving through late that first night to check out the neighborhood. Seeing the darling Mad Hatter storefront, its glorious antique building rising up above, and the eclectic tea garden attached, I knew at once that this was a town I could see myself living in. It exudes love, charm and caring. But I still hadn't been inside. Well, this book can be judged by its cover: warmth, light, music, camaraderie, art, safe space and good cheer. The owners and their grown children run the place, each member of the family leaving an individual mark. One son prepares a creative pan-Asian inspired menu, while the proprietress sees to it that hot drinks are served to satisfaction in a tidy but relaxed atmosphere. This place and its host family are appreciated by every local I meet. Seems they are a revered local institution. I can see why. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was my first time going here and the whole experience was amazing. I walked in and was greeted by a nice lady. Who walked me through the ordering process and took the time to explain what every ingredient is and how it affects the dishes flavor. Highly recommend!
