We stopped in for Lunch and seated immediately. Upon entry there was 5 hostess. . . After being seated it took a fair amount of time to see someone to order. The chips and salsa served was ok. Chips had not been cooked and chewy not crunchy. Never asked if we wanted other drinks, just received water. After waiting for someone to take out order we asked for Guacamole and it never came. The food was mediocre at best, smaller portions and food was not very hot upon arriving at our table. Getting the bill noticed the guacamole was added but never received at our table. . . Not sure my wife, Son and I will be back soon. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We have been waiting for this place since they announced it. It’s a 5 minute walk from our house so we were going to be happy with anything. The wait was super long but it’s expected on opening weekend. The food was so so good, drinks were solid and the service was great! We are so lucky to have such a great place in our area!! The only thing I would change is that the bar would be open later! Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Vanessa is amazing! She provided the best service! It was a little busy when we came in and we waited a few extra minutes than usual but it was worth it. Definitely going back for more baby margaritas ❤️ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Don’t waste your time. We arrived at 11:38 am for lunch and we were told it was a 35 minute wait. An hour goes by and we finally get sat at a table. There are plenty of tables around us that are dirty, yet nobody wanted to clear them off so that people can sit. There are about 30ish people outside waiting for a table. Our drinks took forever to get to our table and they told us it was because they were waiting for more glasses to be cleaned. They brought chips and salsa and when we finished the chips and salsa our waitress took the bowl and chips refilled them and handed it back to us. The chip lining paper was already pretty gross and more chips were just added to it. We ordered food right away and were told that food would take another 30-40 minutes to make, which was a lie. Their waiters need major help. I could see the hostess try to help by taking drink orders. I know they have only been open for a little bit but I didn’t think it would be this bad. The amount of times I wanted to get up and leave. We finally got food after 2 hours of being at the restaurant. The icing on the cake is the fact that there was hair in our beans and the waitress took the plate and said “none of my cooks have blonde hair.” It wasn’t even a blond hair and it was definitely imbedded in the beans. We finally asked to talk to a manager but apparently they were cooking. They made us wait another 20 minutes so we finally left. The worst experience I have even had. 2.5 hours of my day taken for a restaurant we waited months for to open! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our unforgettable evening at Macayo's Mexican restaurant began with grabbing drinks at the bar, where we had the pleasure of meeting the incredibly skilled bartender, Isaac. His mixology skills were nothing short of exceptional. Isaac not only crafted exquisite cocktails but also provided fantastic recommendations that perfectly complemented our upcoming meal. His attention to detail and passion for mixology shone through in every drink he prepared. What truly stood out, though, was his friendly and welcoming service. Isaac's warm demeanor and engaging conversation made us feel right at home. After enjoying Isaac's delightful creations, we moved on to our dining experience, where Marcus, our server, continued to impress. Despite it being opening week, Marcus demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu. His recommendations, like the mini chimichangas and housemade guacamole, were spot on, adding a unique and delicious touch to our evening. As the night progressed, the general manager, Cruz, even stopped by to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction, which truly exemplified the restaurant's commitment to exceptional service. What truly sets Macayo's apart is their dedication to quality, from the fresh ingredients to the passion evident in every dish. We left the restaurant with smiles on our faces, eager to return. Macayo's Mexican restaurant has undeniably elevated Mexican cuisine in our neighborhood, becoming our go-to place for a delightful meal. If you're searching for an outstanding Mexican dining experience with exceptional food, service, and mixology, Macayo's is the place to be. Without a doubt, it deserves a well-deserved 5-star rating! Thank you, Macayo's, for bringing this culinary gem to our area. We're already looking forward to our next visit. If we could change anything it would be the hours of operation on the weekends to enjoy the atmosphere a little later. AJ served us tonight. Excellent food and decor, but music is way too loud for conversation. Shrimp and steak fajitas are awesome, mixed up the tamale order with enchiladas so will try again soon. Thank you from your Tucson friends 😎😇🙏 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Arrived at 6 for dinner. Served at 7 with one of the signature items. Macayo chiming. Comes with sour cream and Pico de Gallo. Plate came with neither after waiting 40 minutes for food. Asked the server and was told they were out of sour cream all day. Wow... supermarket is 1/2 mile away and they have it. What in the world is going on to be taking so long with food and then not have all the ingredients for an item you want to be famous for? Bartender was nice.. girl. Other bartender.. big guy was not only rude but said that he didn't feel like going to change a beer keg that ran out. I am not sure what to say other than this is no way to have a new opening in an area that will embrace you if you give what you promise. Just AMAZING to me to see this kind of apathy and bad service. I feel bad for the staff when managers don't care... clearly they don't here. Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
