A small local business offering Taiwanese food. The interior is older and aged. The parking directly in front can be a problem but there is more parking offered further down into the shopping center. The staff is nice and friendly. We’ve been going here for years and I feel like perhaps they have a new chef because all the flavors seemed off in some way. The menu has a lot to offer so you are sure to find something you like. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

M's Kitchen is located at the corner of Pioneer & 183rd st. It looks like your run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant but this little restaurant pavks a full flavor. We've been visiting this place for more than 10 years. You can order a la cart or can order off of their lunch and dinner set menu. Our go-to dishes are Salt & Pepper Pork Chop, Salt & Pepple squid, Shredded beef with chili, Shrimp scrambled eggs, Preserved sausage with leek, String beans and other vegetable dishes. I would love to try their noodles dishes but the serving is quite big for one person. Give this place a try if you are in the mood for some authentic Chinese food. I will say, the food was decent. However, the customer service was so bad that I almost left crying. I said hello 3 times only to get ignored at the counter, and the person helped out/talked to other people while I was just standing there. I even tried making noise to see if it was just that I wasn't heard, but I should've left since 3 times is shame on me. My order was finally taken after dealing with other customers without a single greeting or acknowledgement, but I regret not leaving after seeing the total. The food was so expensive, but it was shocking that it didn't even come with rice. I had to ask for it, and it was super dry and hard. I was given an free iced tea which was great, but it still doesn't change the fact that I felt my experience felt awful. I wanted to try out the place since it had stellar reviews, but now I feel too afraid to come back. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

YUM!! A group of us have been going here for over 15 years. It’s a hole in the wall place, but aren’t these the best? Our go to dishes is hands down the Shanghai style spare ribs & rice cakes. Mmmm. Service is fast & friendly.

Extensive menu, lots to choose from. Happy we tried M's Kitchen! Food is yummy. Fried pork chops, salt& pepper fish, combination fried rice and Mongolian beef. Enough food to have throughout the week. Definitely will be a return customer.

Oh May, my love souffle. Or, I should say, my love chao siu bao. Yet another great lunch spot in the 562, May's Kitchen offers delicious Chinese food (my fav) at affordable prices. Closing for lunch at 2:30pm, then reopening for dinner at 4pm, I managed to be the sole lunch diner before the midday break. Perusing the lunch specials, which include soup, rice and hot tea, I requested the pork with bittermelon. "We don't have." Shucks! Okay, Plan B (No, not the morning after pill ;p ). Bamboo shoots with shredded pork sounds good. I'll have that. Yes, Cerritos! Crunchy bamboo shoots with tender pork. If you listen closely, you can hear an "oink" with every bite ;p I enjoyed the taste and portions of my meal. The soup was hearty and sour, which I love. Lots of white rice, of which I will use to make fried rice later. Plus, the complimentary hot tea made me a May's Kitchen convert. Tables are available for seating, accommodating around 30 people. Near the entrance to the restroom, there is a semi-private VIP table. I'm not sure if people can make reservations, but it's good to know you can have a meal with all of your mahjong buddies. Speaking of restroom, the men's restroom was clean, with no vandalism. It's nice to see, since vandalized restrooms disgust me. Destroying people's property = no bueno. Parking is plentiful in a private lot, shared with Pizza Hut, Kim Tar, Sona Chaandi and other businesses. Service was with a smile. I'm definitely coming back! The food's good, the prices are great and it's so close and convenient. I'm a fan, for sheez! Highly recommend!
