I think this place is underrated. Great menu variety & wine variety. I’m from the United States and I wish I’d stayed in this neighborhood instead of downtown. Lots of good restaurants in the area but this one was the one we picked and we were very happy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A wonderful variety of delicious dishes to choose from. I highly recommend the grilled octopus. The restaurant has a nice spread out space and elegant decor. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
Lovely space - dine indoors, out or on a patio. Servers all lovely. Nice selection of Chilean wines as well as cocktails. My Merluza was delicious and fresh. And the have a gelato shop and local gourmet products as well at very good prices.

The customer service was amazing! Super nice people that worked there. And the food was incredible. I had the “BACALHAU À BRAS” and “PASTÉIS DE NATA.” The cod was nicely cooked and seasoned and mixed together well with other veggies and herbs. The dessert was also a wonderful surprise; it had a light layered, crispy crust with a custard type of filling.
Went for lunch, sat in the garden. Beautiful restaurant/cafe, lovely staff. The outdoor allows smoking which is annoying because it's so lovely to eat out in summer. Inside they have a blender working around the clock so it's kind of loud. The mix lemonade it's delicious, the mechada, ribs and Portuguese style beef were delicious! Loved the octopus to share and don't forget to order desserts, this is a cafeteria so it's worth the experience of the hojaldre abd manjar cake!
Fabulous portugués food, I had the rice caldo seafood, and my wife the bacalau Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Good food and large portions at fair prices. Nice atmosphere on the patio plus indoor dining. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20,000–25,000 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Our very helpful receptionist at the Singular Hotel in LaStarria suggested during our stay in August 2023 that we visit Barrio Italia for lunch and we eventually ended up at Lusitano. Even though the menu was only available by QR-code online and the staff spoke Spanish only, we eventually muddled through and ordered (veggie-)food and wine (by the glass). We were quite surprised by the excellence of both. It was very much worth the struggle! This place is clean, the staff attentive, the food really in a sphere of its own. All the people around us were locals who apparently knew this. A thoroughly enjoyable experience! Highly recommended. We will be back and try the meats next time. Muchas gracias al equipo por todo. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $15,000–20,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
A little pricey, but I had an amazing lomo sandwich here. It is nice and tucked away off the street, with indoor, outdoor, and rooftop spaces. Trendy Portuguese decor, too. Loved the Las Piedras olive oil served with bread, I will be searching for a way to get it in the States!
My first night in Santiago - wandered over on the advice of a lady at our hotel. Not speaking much Spanish at all, I struggled with the menu but the food was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate this ignorant American.
