STOP LOOKING AND EAT HERE! Easily some of the nicest wait staff I’ve ever met. Kindness as soon as I entered and each person I had the pleasure of interacting with genuinely friendly. This friendliness is what makes a restaurant stand out among its competitors. I felt very taken care of with genuine kindness and respect. And I write this first half before I even get my food. Second half: asked for my halibut to be extra crispy and got it to perfection, the fries are AMAZING and the garlic aioli sauce is to die for. Stop looking for where to eat and just go here. Just terrific! Great service, some of the best fries in town, the calamari is perfectly cooked and did I mention the service? Emily was the consummate host! I never expected Luna to be this good, they really surprised me. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Recently moved to the area and have been trying out different restaurants. Luna’s is our favorite. The food is fresh with great flavors and I would agree with the other reviews, the fries are delicious. The lady her served us at 1pm today was very friendly. Will definitely come back! Very cute little restaurant with two levels. We sat on the top floor which gave us a fresh and unique experience. Our waitress Amanda was so nice and attentive and made sure we got the right order. The Bahama mama cocktail was very yummy and the huckleberry cosmo packed a punch! French onion soup had a very pleasant and tasty broth, but I wish they used gruyere cheese instead of Mozzerela. The truffle fries had a very potent flavor and the cheese dip complimented and balanced the flavors very well. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and didn't have too much fat on it (sometimes ribeye steaks have way too much fat and not enough meat). The margarita pizza (we got Xtra cheese) had a very dense dough, so it gave it a nice and crisp bite. Nice, light, tangy sauce to compliment the fresh Mozzerela. The Bathroom was also clean (2 unisex, single user bathrooms). If we ever find our way back in Bellingham we will be back! A great dinner spot if you want to go to a movie as well. Came in for their Thur night prime rib. I ordered it medium rare, waitress took my order and posted it. Out came my end cut and she placed it in front of me. Right away I could tell it was way over spiced. I tried cutting into it and could tell right away it was way over done. It was very tough and dry. I had to soak it in the au jus for a min before I could chew it. Waitress asked me if my meal was OK, and I told her my issue. She ran to the back to see if another piece was available. Another lady came and told me that Med rare is not possible for an end cut of prime rib (I know that's a lie because I have had med rare end cuts many times). I asked her "why was I not told that med rare end cut is not available at that time", she did not have an answer. I paid full price for my unsatisfactory meal. I may come back, but I will not order the prime rib again. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

We've been wanting to try this place out for over a year now and it seems like we always came here on Mondays when it's closed. Went out on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasn't too busy and the service was prompt and the food was prompt an excellent. Will definitely come back here to try more dishes but so far the seafood puttanesca and cheddar burger as well as the mushroom Swiss burger were excellent. Their garlic fries and sweet potato fries are really good. Try the cream brulee! Definitely more on the menu to look forward to and try out for the next few visits. Lunas is steadily going downhill. I believe they are under new management, and it's not for the better. There was a really lovely woman who is managing the place and she is gone. Over the last year, they have taken half of their options off of their menu, which is a shame because some of those dishes were really good. The owner decided that he wanted to cut costs and he changed the sandwich bread and made the chicken filet in their avocado chicken sandwich smaller. I had decided to not go there anymore, but my daughter recently dragged me there again because she loves their french fries and we ended up getting a brand new waiter who had no idea what he was doing. We ended up waiting nearly an hour for our food even though there was hardly anyone there. Oh, and there website says that they do brunch, but they don't. :/ Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
We just ate here for the first time, before our movie. First of all, we were both impressed with the friendly (but not overly intrusive), perfect service! Sarah was our server and she's amazing. Then came the food...I was really impressed! I had the Friday night chef's special, which was grilled halibut and a crazy delicious veggie rice. Usually I'm at least a little disappointed when I order fish...what a pleasant surprise that my fish was cooked perfectly. The veggie rice is usually something I wouldn't bother with in most places, but again, it dazzled. They even grilled my lemon to squeeze over the fish...love the little touches. My husband got their halibut and chips, and he was super pleased with it as well. The fries were in a little bit of a crunchy batter and were crisp, delicious. I'd highly recommend this bistro!! The prices are a little bit on the higher side but the food quality definitely justifies this, trust me!!
