I loved it here! The food reminded me of my time in Mexico and the atmosphere was spectacular! Very in tune with Tulum Vibes. I will say the food has a kick to it so if you are heat sensitive you’ll want to check and make sure!
Parents: I will warn you they were playing Latin American music videos, which are very saucy.

Such a neat place. The decor, music, and atmosphere was fun and inviting. You truly feel like you're somewhere else. All the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Food was great, loved the homemade tortillas. Hidden Gem in the Hanes mall area. Will definitely return!

As a lifelong Texan, I take my tacos seriously. We tried Luna Playa Tacos today and were so happy to finally have found a place with delicious tacos that remind us of home. The restaurant is light, bright, and fun. For being only open two days, the service was great. You'd never would have known they just opened. Everyone was friendly, and our food came out quickly. We tried a little of everything, but our favorites would have to be the carne asada tacos, tacos de pescado and the fried quesadilla with steak. My husband ordered the chroizo tacos and he really loved it. The fried quesadilla reminded me of what we call a gordita in Texas. It was stuffed with steak and cheese, covered with lettuce, tomato and jalapeño. To drink we ordered horchata, watermelon Agua Fresca, topo Chico and a Mexican Coke. I also ordered the spicy margarita. It was strong and delicious, with a Tajin rim. Their fresh salsas in the salsa bar were delicious. We will definitely be back.

My wife chose here for her birthday this past weekend. I've actually tried coming here before but they had not yet opened, so we were excited to try it out.
It's counter service, so you order your food/drinks and wait at a table for them to bring the food to you. Staff there recommended I try the Mole Enchiladas, and since I couldn't decide on chicken or beef, she gave me 2 of each. My meal was delicious. The food was hot, fresh, tasty, and had a bit of a kick but not overpoweringly spicy.
There were some minor issues with the correctness of our order, which were sorted out. Both my kids and wife enjoyed their meals as well. I finished my wife's Al Pastor tacos and may order that for myself next time.
I like how this has more of an authentic (and not Americanized) feel of a Mexican restaurant than other places in town. It's not the fanciest place inside but offers a good meal. My wife and I both agreed that we'd come here again - maybe not for a special birthday meal, but would like to come back and try some different things next time.

As soon as you walk into this restaurant you can feel the beach vibes without even being at the beach! I got the chance to try their enchiladas de mole & their sopes. The mole is more of the sweeter kind of mole rather than spicy, the sopes were the delicious however the steak was a bit chewy, the chorizo ones were delicious!

Luna Playa was a good place for a quick lunch or dinner. The variety of salsas is great, as there are multiple options that include different spices ranging from mild to hottt. Expect some spice in your food. I personally do not enjoy hot food but will eat it every once in a while. I ordered the ACP, which I was not expecting to be spicy but was. It was a good tex mex style spice though. Should try.

The food is out of this world great. The guacamole is Phenomenal. The chips are ridiculous. The queso is marvelous. The fried quesadillas are… well, you know. I’m going to gain soooo much weight this fall/winter🤫. Please staple your delivery orders shut, as l sincerely believe my DoorDash delivery guy open my chips and dipped into my guacamole🤬

Fried Quesadilla
Overall good. I had Mexican street style tacos. Servers were very friendly and efficient. Even the bus person brought me water and was checking on folks. I thought the margarita I had was very good, but a little pricey. Also, there was a salsa bar, nice touch. Biggest issue is the music was way too loud, and made it hard to have a conversation. It would have been great to have had more chill music which matched the overall decor / ambiance.

Ya’ll, look no further. Homemade tortillas!!! We went for brunch. The restaurant is very well put together, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Whoever designed this did a great job.
The food was PHENOMENAL. I had the the Huevos Rancheros and my wife had the Chilaquiles. Honestly, the Chilaquiles were the best I’ve ever tasted (I’m from Texas). Idah the bar manager was very kind and the owner was easy to talk to and offered great recommendations. Can’t wait to go back!
