Very strange to say the least. But that isn’t a bad statement. Actually it’s a weird form of appreciation for something I never know could be so good. From what I gather as a first timer who never heard of the this place before… I thought wait so this is a Chinese spot? But don’t judge a book by its cover ladies and gentlemen. This is a bonafide legit Vietnamese restaurant in sheep’s clothing. First off it’s already hard to find decent Vietnamese food in woodlands or spring but to call it “Lucky Cafe” puts this under the radar even more so! But here I am to say to everyone reading this review you are in fact lucky to have found a good eat. Lucky Cafe is in a quiet shopping strip in the Woodlands. Another surprise… You’ll be caught off guard since there isn’t an Asian auntie/uncle who will wait and provide service to you…(common in most pho spots) rather you will meet some very nice El Salvadorians will make sure you are taken cared of. They from what I heard are the new owners while the original owner(s) still cook.l for the business. Customer service was great. Also a plus for those who speak spanish and have a hard time understanding the menu since they can translate for you. Quality of food! The pork bahn mi with an egg is crazy good! I highly recommend ! I even remember the order number #5. Pho is good - I ordered with steak and meatballs. I will be coming back to try the spring rolls since I forgot to get them. ( I ended up ordering two sandwiches instead!) Well worth the bahn mis Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I miss this place so much!! Small little cafe....hidden in a neighborhood, off a main vein. When I'm back in The Woodlands, I TRY MY BEST TO GO. It's absolutely a hidden gem. The pho seafood noodle soup is my go-to...with a spring roll. It's enough for 2 meals. Friendly staff, well made Vietnamese food. I ordered the lemongrass beef *(doubled beef) on my vermicelli (bun) dish. I couldn't get it in my face fast enough! Vietnamese fried rolls were perfection! Love love love the summer rolls with shrimp and peanut sauce! Our togo Dinner was so good I didn't even wanna talk afterwards! LoL! P.S Pho is good also. *my tip! Only a few bucks more. Update. Still delicious! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Pho Chin Tai
Ordered Togo for lunch, and enjoyed everything. Our favorites were the Strawberry smoothies, dumplings (steamed or fried), and pork egg rolls as well as the very delicious pork sandwich (bahn mi). I also got the LoMein which was a huge! portion. We ordered via phone and it was ready within 20 minutes. Overall, cheap great and yummy food. Coming back for the dumplings and pork rolls. Make sure you grab a smoothie!! Took off a star because we ordered a large smoothie but they were out of cups. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10
Food was very odd. Fried rice was not that good very little taste. The chicken was way overcooked the sauce was some strange, thick, orange gelatin. Definitely will not be back here. It’s a damn shame. I was hoping this place would be good. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
This place was kind enough to bring me out a sample of their pho before I even ordered. They have excellent customer service and good food presentation. Their fish sauce is a little weak, tastes like red pepper, fish sauce and juice from pickled carrots/daikon. It's not bad just not as fishy as I would like. It is perfect for people that have not been introduced to the culture as it barely tastes like fish sauce. The carrots they serve with the viet. Egg rolls are delicious. I couldn't stop myself from eating them before taking a picture. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

We dined in. First impressions were that the place is a bit underwhelming, but may have amazing food. The wait time was really long for our food. The restaurant had 3 tables occupied when we arrived. After we sat, a few more couples/families arrived. A few tables were served before us although they arrived well after (and ordered after) we did. The apps were served at the same time as the meal. We got 2 spring rolls (one fresh, one fried), a pho, orange chicken, fried tofu and a grilled cheese. The fresh spring rolls were ok, the fried ones weren’t good. The pho was great, fried tofu ok. And the orange chicken had a bright orange sauce poured over, not good. The servers refilled drinks within a reasonable amount of time. The reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because after getting our meals, our waitress came and asked us if we had 2 seafood phos. We said no. She asked if we’re sure, we said we were. Then a waiter came out and asked the same question. Same answer, didn’t order it. Then, maybe the manager?, came out and asked if we ordered it. We again answered no. And on our bill there was one of the seafood phos we didn’t order. It eventually was taken off the bill, but we did not appreciate them haggling for us to buy extra food we didn’t order. We will never go back there. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Unfortunately I had a not so great experience here. Ordered a takeout order online and arrived at the time in my email. I told them my name at the pickup counter and they kept ignoring me. Stood there for 5 minutes and they kept speaking to one another. Finally said I can have a seat. Waited 20 minutes past the time before they actually brought out my order but I could tell they forgot to make it because they kept coming up to me to ask what I ordered again. When I got home the food was not what I ordered. Cheese wontons were soggy, sauce tasted old, and the banh mi/sandwich looked like it had been smashed. Because it was rushed, they also didn't do any modifications. Just a mess. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

The best flavor PHO SOUP Fresh ,good amount, clean friendly,LUPE is a great server, fast, quiet, relaxing not sure what else to say, love to come here once a week! 3 years ago I gave 5 stars to this place now is down to one star not sure if they change owners but logo is different fish tank is gone tables are new and bathroom dirty and old but the worst is the pho soup now taste just like water, if a Maruchan soup has more flavor why spend 12.00 on this. Is clear as water it don’t even have color we are very disappointed
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted pleasantly and sat at a desirable table. It was Mother’s Day weekend, so the owner also greeted me with a rose. The food was really delicious. Price was on point also. Very pleasant experience for our family and we can’t wait to visit again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
