A now longtime Lincolnwood mainstay, Lou Malnati's has been a family favorite. This visit was just my wife and I. Ordered the "Lou." A vegetable deepdish pizza cooked to perfection. Got some starters while we waited for the 35min cook time. A cup of housemade Minestrone soup and a very large Small Salad. Yum. Eating in is always better than delivery. I always get a kick out of the Sports Memorabilia. Found a great photo of Bobby Hull in our parlor. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Let me start by saying I will be coming back to try another pie. I came here from NJ and my first stop was to try "the best Chicago deep dish" I could find. I was pointed towards this particular Lou Manati location by multiple people and online reviews. I had their cheddar bites that were good as they made my personal Lou Malnatis special personal pie. The butter crust was good, the pie itself was cheesy and had tons of tomato sauce on top. Lots of sausage buried but lacked a uniformed WOW taste! I've been told I need to try it as a large pie and without meat to get a wow. Overall I wasn't amazed and felt my $30 lunch left me wanting to try other places same pie to compare. A family oriented restaurant. All tables were seated with young and old. We ordered the wings and beef for our dinner. Service were good and food served quick. However, the place is somewhat dated and configured so that noise level is unusually high. The youngs mentioned earlier compounded this effect where we were sat. Pretty basic pizza spot but a bit pricey and they are stingy asl with ingredients for $9.39 (the price of the sausage) I get two pieces of sausage per slice and barely any sauce pizza was dry. For extra sauce on my pizza it was almost $4.69 extra. Very bland pizza sausage had no flavor just plain meat. My family wasn’t really pleased. :( This is an extra large thin crust I purchased.
