First impression here was okay, food is decent. Singapore noodles and curry had fresh veggies and shrimp was tasty; however, the pork was chewy and bland. This place has a handicapped ramp, but a lack of alternative types of seating. The tables are set up for larger groups and booths were set for individual or couple. If you need a small standard table due to mobilty issues, this is not the place to go. Additionally, I could not just sit still and take my time with my meal, I was texting my family and took a break from putting food in my mouth and the waitress was immediately wanting to box my meal. I have gone to this restaurant for over 20 years. I have always loved the food and the environment this place has had. However, the past couple times I have gone, I can tell that the place doesn’t have the same family value that it use to have. Today we went to eat with our kids, we were seated but had to wait for over an hour before our order was taken. During that time, our toddlers were getting very restless as they were done just sitting. Once our orders were finally taken, we eventually got our food only to find hair in the crab Rangoons and a crack in one of our cups so water drained all over the table we sat at, getting all over one of our guests that went with us. I told the waitress about it and we got some more crab, but it is pretty gross. When we were finished eating, we got up to pay. I paid first and then my wife held my sister in laws foster child while she tried to pay. This 1 year old child has extreme separation anxiety and was crying while his foster mom tried to pay. My wife was then rudely told to take the child out by one of the waitresses there. He didn’t have a jacket on, my wife didn’t know where his things were as she wasn’t his mom, but they made my wife leave with a screaming 1 year old with out a jacket in the middle of the cold season. There was no politeness, no please, just take the child out now. I went in to complain and I was told that there was no manager on shift and that they wouldn’t be back until Wednesday. When I tried to confront the lady who actually kicked my wife and this child out, the ladies behind the desk told me that they all told my wife to leave, not just the one who actually said it. I know what the lady looks like but they refused to give me her name so I told them, fine I would make a complaint against everyone there, as they didn’t want to cooperate and just tell me the ladies name who kicked them out. This use to be a family friendly restaurant, it is not that any more. If you have kids, of any age really, but especially young children, DO NOT EAT HERE! IT IS NOT THE SAME ENVIRONMENT IT USE TO BE! THEY ARE ANTI FAMILY, ANTI CHILDREN. My family and I will never eat here again and it saddens me because of how long I have gone here, but the past few times we have gone, the place is just going further and further down the toilet. I rarely review anything, but this warrants a good review. I travel for work and staying in hotels doesn't give a lot of options for cooking. I picked up a large beef fried rice on my way to my hotel for 10 dollars. It was an immense amount of food and a good amount of meat with soy sauce and a sweet and sour. I love sauces and use a lot on my food, yet I will have extra as they gave me an abundant amount. I called in an order at 4:25 and picked it up at 4:40. It was neatly in a bag and easy to transport home without fear of spilling. I didn't end up eating it till 6:15 and IT WAS STILL HOT. I didn't have to microwave anything. Food was good. I ate here with a friend back in 2018 after hiking in the area. The service was slow, the food left much to be desired, and I actually had to send back the FRIED RICE! How does a Chinese restaurant get fried rice wrong??? Giving one star because the tea was hot and because we were eventually able to make our escape. I’ve loved this restaurant since I was a kid. There is plenty of parking available and there is no wait to be seated. We were a large group and we immediately were seated. The once we ordered, it was fast for our food to be brought out. The restaurant was very clean and orderly. The restroom was very clean. This is the only sit down Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to, and it’s fresh and amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best place for Chinese food within 75 miles. Not only is the food great, but the portions are generous, the food always seems fresh, the waitstaff are great, and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. You can almost always find a few locals sitting at the bar engaging in cheery banter. In fact, it's probably the best restaurant around period, whether Chinese food or not. But if it's Chinese food you want, in the Farmington area, it has to be the Lotus Blossom.
