Best tacos I’ve had yet! I always compare every other taco to this place. They have a takeout window, which is so convenient, but they also just redid the whole inside and it’s very nice!! It's nice to have a good restaurant close by. The staff is always so sweet and accommodating. As they add more to the interior it just looks better and better. I do recommend a bit of sauce with the food, makes it perfect. Cheap, quick, and good, would recommend. Fantastic hidden gem off Plainfield. Ordered steak torta and taco lengua. Both were delicious. Meat was not dry and the seasoning was perfect. Even the rice and beans were seasoned well. I’ve been twice now and both experiences have been excellent. I’ve sampled the Fajitas and the #5 lunch special. Both were excellent. The decor is authentic and amazing. Many attention to details like the logo monogrammed into the wooden chairs and tables. The staff are super attentive. Give this place a try. We need them on Plainfield. Decent food with many menu choices. Food came out warm but not hot. Place was not too busy on a weeknight but service was a bit slow. Really want to like this place since it is in our neighborhood. Watching this restaurant develop into what it is today has been fantastic. They have maintained the same level of great service, with a new inviting atmosphere. With constant specials, this is the place to go for a fun night out for dinner. Stop on in, Los Portales is beautiful! Was very clean, decor was nice. Staff was friendly and attentive. Husband ordered the rancheros enchiladas and said the Chile Verde was very good on them. I ordered the South western chimichangas. They were ok. Our food would have been better if it was hotter. It was Luke warm. Going to say maybe because the plates were really cold and it chilled the food some.
