An absolutely lovely space filled with art, greenery and comfortable nooks where you can spend time reading, working or catching up with friends. It’s one of the most relaxing spaces that I spent time in on a recent trip to Dakar and I left feeling inspired by what Loman was able to create!
I have no words to describe the beauty of the place. However, I can say it is a MUST for visitors to Dakar. A cosy atmosphere in an indescribably authentic place that has been decorated with great attention to detail.
Just stopped by for Sunday lunch and left before eating. When we walked in the staff seemed very put out that that we came for lunch, and not very welcoming. When we looked at the menu most of the lunch menu was crossed out. Very disappointing. Maybe coming back at a different time will give a better impression.
However, I would love to go back and just look at the gallery!!
If you like art come to Loman and you will fall in love with living in art.
We had such a lovely stay at Loman Art!
Even though we had a challenging vacation for other reasons, the staff at Loman’s really made the vacation enjoyable.
The room was spacious, clean and inviting. The ambiance of the hotel is truly inspiring, it made me happy to wake up here every day and I felt very safe.
Lots of lovely dogs to pet too - which always is a bonus.
The breakfast was good and coffee amazing!
There was also some really good suggestions for food that we could order in when that was the mood. Just ask and the staff will help you navigate the big city.
Thanks for having us Loman Art House, I would love to come back next time!
Don’t come without booking the Brunch beforehand!!!
They just serve you with Senegalese brunch, which was okay but DID NOT worth 15 000 cfa for each person (as picture attached).
We were given the menu and then when we decided to go for sth on the menu instead of the Senegalese brunch, the waiter said they only serve Senegalese brunch, nothing else on the menu is served today. (Why would he gave us the menu in the first place.
There were no omelette and crepes served so we asked, and they said we have to choose only one which was ridiculous because they are on the different categories on the menu.
Also, the waiter did not mention that the orange juice was not included when we asked, so they charged extra for 2500F, for each drink.
My first time here I had an amazing Moroccan brunch, I did booked ahead so maybe this time it was my fault that I was disappointed.
I met the owner last time, she was very nice. I believe she did not know her staff did this to the customers.
Loman Art House is guaranteed to be a pleasant stay, whether you’re traveling alone or with a loved one. The owners and staff make you feel right at home, the space is gorgeous and the rooms are extremely comfortable. The novelty of being able to stay in an actual art gallery, relax by a pool while eating delicious, made-to-order meals, and having a relaxing but vibrant environment were the best way to spend our vacation. We even extended from 2 nights to 4 for the aforementioned reasons. Staying here gave us easy access to the rest of Dakar, there were great restaurants nearby, and nightlife, too. For our early morning flight, a prepared breakfast was waiting for us in the fridge and a trusted cab service was arranged for us the night before. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Gorgeous property with loads of patios for an evening drink or meal after a day touring Dakar. My room was clean. Bed comfy. Perfect location. Walk to Africa Renaissance Memorial and Lighthouse. There’s frequently live music in the evenings. Food was good. Staff professional, caring and attuned to your needs. Safe and secure. Very different from the giant, expensive Euro-style resorts on the ocean. I didn’t come to Dakar to stay at a resort. This place satisfied my every need in the amazing, exciting city.
This place is a hidden gem, which is a joy to discover! The ambiance is excellent, the mix of shade, sun, fresh air and tropical plants takes you to an oasis of the mind. The service is wonderful, the music touches your soul. All this against a backdrop of nooks and crannies of art and seating, spread out amid 3 floors. There are even rooms for rent! I am almost hesitant to speak about it, my secret hideaway may be no longer that.
I loved spending my day here. The cafe is lovely, surrounded by exquisite art that blew my mind. The staffs were amicable and accommodating to our tiny French. I can't wait to go back in the evening and see how it looks at night.
