I loved this place before I had a sip of my drink or a bite of my food. Such a cool place with an incredible atmosphere. Great music, great service, great food and drinks and just an incredible vibe here! We all tried different dishes, but I had the bork dumplings and had the cheese curds as well. Dumplings had a delicious spicy sauce and were cooked to perfection. The curds were actual curds as you would get from the store, breaded and fried, and were delicious as well. I will be back, soon, and many more times to follow. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chinese Pork and Chive Dumpling

The ambiance of this place is amazing. I loved the little booths we were in and everything was very fun. The staff is amazing and very friendly. My girlfriend had the burger and said it was good, but nothing to write home about. I had the red Thai curry and it was sold as being super spicy. I was excited, but what I got was a bow of noodles with mushy veggies and all I could taste was curry and salt. It wasn't spicy, just salty. We also ordered the deviled eggs which were good and the dumplings which I would stay away from as the wrappers were very thick and all I could taste was the chili oil. I so want to give this place another try, but with the food combined with the price it may take a bit longer to come back for food. For drinks this place is most like a good place to try. I had a great time at Lola's, a new dining room and cocktail lounge in the Lakewood Plaza Shopping Center. The place is cozy and elegant, with a hi/lo concept that offers both casual and upscale options. The cocktails are creative and refreshing. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend Lola's for anyone looking for a fun and satisfying night out in Madison. This spot is so swank and fun! The staff was great, the decor and mood is really cool and there is a spin wheel to win money (I won $14!). My friend and I had mocktails that were delicious. The only thing that was bland and not recommended is the food we had, some appetizers (the ravioli and the deviled eggs). They had no flavor and the ravioli were over cooked. I imagine they will keep tweaking and improve over time. Either way, for the fun atmosphere and drinks, I’ll definitely be back. Who would think a jazz club in a strip mall would be such a hit! We made plans to go ar 4:30p on Saturday night. They open at 4p, so we should beat the crowd right? Nope, folks start getting there before they even open. Luckily, someone in our group arrived at 4:15 and was able to secure a booth for 6 of us. I arrived at 4:30 and there was already a wait list. The atmosphere, food and service are all outstanding. As busy as they were, we never felt rushed. Good music is playing but at a level where you can have a decent conversation. And it was good music! Well done Lola's, well done! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Dined the opening night—the Thai red curry was excellent, as were the pork and chive dumplings. Had a whiskey sour that was made to perfection. Amazing vibe, good jazz music. Service was fast enough for the first day in business. Plan to go here regularly… Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I tried Lola’s for their Motown music night and had a great time with a few friends. The space is beautiful and the service was great! And the music — ON POINT! Shout out to Melanie (a staff member) for giving me a tour!

Very chill little place with some delicious food and great service! The food came out pretty fast too! Would definitely recommend. Delicious cheese curds, although for me the Chinese pork & chive dumplings stole the show! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had high hopes for this buzzy new lounge-y spot in a dingey strip mall. This stretch of Sherman Ave. is ripe for this kind of revival (looking at you, Zippy Lube). The atmosphere did not disappoint. It's very hip. All the straight-from-work attire make it feel like a bit of a scene. And the bartenders were cool and quick and courteous. * Gin Gimlet - excellent and limey. * Margarita - ok * Pizza (Veggie Fun-Guy) - not good, poor flavor and too salty * Katsu Chicken Sandwich basket - Really good, well- balanced with sauce and pickles, big bun did not overwhelm Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We arrived early and got a great spot at the bar for our first visit. Fun, funky vibe with great tunes. Easy to converse. Cocktails were fantastic! Pork dumplings, meatza tavern pizza, and chicken katsu sandwich were all incredible! Very satisfied with our visit!
