I finally had the opportunity to visit the restaurant after a few attempts to come here since it went viral last year with my partner in crime. We ordered their food under local dishes, which were Fragrant Rice with Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api and Fragrant Rice with Curry Chicken, together with Ice Lemon Tea and Mango Soda. They offer a fair selection of Western dishes, breakfast items, pastries, desserts, and coffee on their menu.
The Fragrant Rice didn't live up to its name; it lacked the expected aroma and was essentially plain white rice 🍚. My partner's Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api seemed off, with a slightly sour taste that didn't match the creamy description. Although I couldn't determine if the curry chicken was freshly made or canned, it was still delicious. As a non-spicy eater, I found their sambal belacan exquisite and didn't experience a 🔥 aftermath.
While the staff were friendly and well-mannered in the service line, they lacked attentiveness. My Mango Soda 🍹 was made from concentrated fruit juice syrup that needed better mixing with the soda, and the weak plastic straw was subpar. The square ice cubes 🧊 and small mug made stirring challenging, especially since no stirrer or small spoon 🥄 was provided. Management should address this for improvement.
The ambiance was nice and private, complemented by jazz hotel songs. The location in Tamarind Square's lower level is a great hangout spot. They offer ample indoor and outdoor parking accessible by wheelchair 🦼, though securing a spot can be challenging on weekends, during convocation seasons, and salary weeks.
Our total cost was RM51.40.

I have been looking at this cafe several times as its location is a bit confusing. I thought it's located on the same floor with many other restaurants at level 2 of Tamarind Square. Apparently, it is on the ground floor.

The Daging Masak Lemak Cili Api is really delicious. the original taste of traditional Malay style. The thin Rempah Chicken Pizza is not bad. Their Fried Chicken Chop got an option either c/w rice or French fries. It tastes good & fried crispy. Only the Caramel Scented Latte is less caramel flavour. As well as their hazzle nut.

Good location & very nice ambience. All the food that we tried were good especially asam pedas tenggiri & chicken teriyaki. Rendang ayam was very good and flavourful too. My aglio olio was good but too spicy. Next time need to order less spicy. Drinks are ok.

Love the setting , located at corner lot. Open at night. Had grill chicken + fries and rice + chicken for dinner. Previous only order delivery for its ring donuts. Loved the plain donuts and its big. The donuts is already sweet without toppings. Texture is so soft as if it is not fried at all..

Been hearing positive feedbacks from my friends about this cafe and finally managed to made my trip here. Got myself nasi beef masak lemak with cili, iced Americano and the infamous salted egg croissant. YUM YUM! LOVED it! The food, ambience, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Oh...the salted egg croissant is a must have and do get urs before it finishes early. This cafe is suitable for family, friends and company luncheon spots. Definitely will come back here again.

i ordered mocha and cappuccino
it was very disappointing ,, it is because the latte art is like made by kids(it’s not) Locca Cafe should improve their barista skills to make a latter art , other than that the drink reach my level and it was okay i give u that , but the latter art tho😔😔, overall 5/10 for drinks . nevertheless the food is quite ok , i think it is meant for b40 and m40 to try such english style breakfast . when it comes to big it should be big but here the big breakfast i ordered wasnt big enough , the portion is only quarter of my stomach, good for diet . overall for the cafe 5/10 .
