I had some family visiting. Tried to have lunch here( first time at this restaurant).There were 7 of us. A lot of people to seat when they were already full. 2-8 tops were empty. I thought we would at least be greeted and seated with a warning that there might be a wait... but.... to the other degree. We were not GREETED!? We stood in the entry area for close to 10 minutes without a greeting! We left and went to another restaurant. Our tab was about $140with tip etc. Communication goes a long way! A general greeting and... warning of the wait time would be completely understood. Very disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Service: 1

This is an okay place. I had a western bacon BBQ burger. It was tasty, there was plenty to eat. The waitress was okay, she just wasn't very friendly. The other staff was nice. It's in downtown Albany, an older building, the decor is old, there is nothing fancy about this place. All in all, it was a good lunch visit. Really great restaurant and bar. Good selection of beer and appetizers if you just want to hang out. If you are looking for a good meal the menu has many selections and everything I've tried has been good. The prime rib was perfect when I had that and I really enjoyed the poke bowl when I had that. My favorite appetizer is the pretzels with beer cheese. A Big shout out to the wait staff. They take good care of you even when they are busy! This is a truly enjoyable place. Our family has been visiting Loafers for a dozen years, the quality had been up and down, but what we experienced today was top tier. As We were speculating about where to go to dinner tonight with another couple from out of town we decided on loafers, food was fantastic, house made and just superior to any Applebee's or Red Robin frozen to plate. The food here is to die for!! We visit a new place every weekend when we visit from the coast, this one was a perfect stop. We had a party of four adults and were seated quickly and the portions were perfect for a filling meal with leftovers! The seared ahi bowl was great, with fresh avocado and tuna. The man and cheese was cheesy, stringy and crispy all at the same time. The royal bleu burgers were made perfect meat temp and tasted amazing. We will be back here and recommend them anytime.
