I got the Shoyu Ramen and the cold tea mixed drink. It was great. The ramen came out with the right temp. It wasn't hot enough to burn you, but it was warm enough to heat you up. Perfect ramen for those cold rainy days. The drink was great; you get to taste the tequila without the nasty after taste. I would recommend this place to anyone. Little Big Diner was the first place that introduced me to the food scene in Newton, which is not to be overlooked as it has been poppin' lately. The overall theme with the octopus mascot is so cute and carries throughout the inner decor, the menu, and their website. Inside, there is an open kitchen where you can peek at the chefs, as well as bar seating and tables (though, the place is still small overall). There is also outside seating. The food came out fast, and my server was friendly. I ordered the LBD Flat Patty... "Hawaiian-Style Burger". The bun had a nice char on it, and the patty was tender and paired well with the sweetness of the pineapples. I actually enjoyed this dish more than the ramen and would get it again. For ramen, I ordered the Tokyo Basic Ramen. The portion size was a bit small for the price. The broth was too salty for my liking, but the chashu pork and ramen were soft. Thoroughly enjoyed the miso ramen and tune poké bowl. Will be going back. So good! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Spicy Miso Ramen
Little Big Diner is a very small restaurant with big taste. The food was excellent. Service was good. Even though the dining area was small, you felt you were isolated from other patrons. The tater tots okonomiyaki style was tasty. The Chef's Ultra ramen was very good. Wait time is hit or miss. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Spicy Tan Tan Ramen
Soo good! Love the small dishes they offer here. Highly recommend the Kara Age Fried chicken, their sweet potato fries, and what seemed like a pork meatball. Super good! As an entree the Spicy Miso was ordered. With Naruto, and an extra egg. The portions are generous and the broth is tasty. Enjoy the small place and ambiance. Our waiter was super friendly! This is some of the best ramen in the Boston area, in my opinion. And honestly - their green papaya salad is out of this world. The seating is super limited indoors during the cold months, but they have outdoor dining when it’s a bit warmer which will increase your chances of getting a table a little quicker. Otherwise, you can expect a little wait - since they don’t take any reservations but it’s worth it. Such a great little spot. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Came here on a weekday around 745pm. The place was pretty full (especially outdoor seating) but we were lucky to get a table inside without waiting. Small menu but they change some of the apps sometimes so always nice to be able to try something new. I got the LBD Paitan which was flavorful and light enough where it wasn't too salty. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
This little restaurant is cooking some amazing food! There is limited seating so be prepared to wait. They text you when your table is ready, allowing you to walk around their town center while you wait. I found the service friendly and fast. I enjoyed their Chef’s Ultra Ramen and the Crunchy Cabbage Salad. They offer draft beer, wine, sake and cocktails. Can’t wait to try some of their other menu items. Definitely my new favorite ramen spot!

Little Big Diner - what a great spot. It’s right in Newton center so you can park in the municipal lot across the street. It’s best to get here early as it’s a small and unique little restaurant. We had a great seat at the bar which viewed directly into the kitchen so we could see the chefs cooking. The staff was extremely nice and even treated us to a house burger which was so good. My ramen was amazing from the noodles to the broth. The chicken thigh was particularly pleasant. Overall we had an excellent lunch here and will 100% be back again. Great spot.
