If not inedible, definitely not enjoyable. We came for Paczkis and were beyond disappointed. They were very dry and had barely any filling at all. We bought a couple of turnovers as well and they were also dry and under filled. We were not told that anything was a day (or more) old but it sure tasted like it. We will not be returning to this bakery. I did give it two stars for atmosphere because the guy who took our order was friendly even if very scattered. Note: Video is only a few hours after buying them not days. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
We had their rum pecan pie as one of the desserts at Thanksgiving it was great. We love their Napoleon torte, too. Meal type Other Recommended dishes Napoleon Torte
One of my "must stops" when I'm back home in Omaha. The Lithuanian Bakery on 33rd and Q Street has been a pillar of South Omaha for over 3 generations where the Mackavicius family has proudly served the community. Plus, BTW, Their famous Napoleanas Torte is to die for and you don't have to be Lithuanian to enjoy it.

This was a stop for us on the Nebraska Passport and I'm so glad we went in. The authenticity of their baked goods is amazing. You won't find a torte like this anywhere. The owner was very friendly and she spoke about the history and preparation of many of their breads and tortes. They also had several different samples of the Tortes available to try. If you purchase a loaf of bread they have an old bread slicer and they will slice the bread for you. There is a beautiful mural on the side of the building that has a scroll that depicts the Lithuanian history in Omaha.

I live on the other side of Nebraska (way out West, by Wyoming) and any chance someone in my family is in Omaha, we come here. My mom is there now getting our favorite bread, Lithuanian Sourdough Rye (we have called it Black Bread since we were little), and Bacon Buns for me if they have any today, plus anything else that tickles her fancy. My German Grandmother introduced this to us and would be lost without it. Love you guys!!!
