Let me start off by saying that the polite welcome was pleasant to walk in to. I ordered the shrimp Po Boy and let me tell you… it’s delicious! Add the hush puppies on the side and you got a delicious filling meal! As long as they’ve been open, I barely discovered this place and it’s taken me 6 years to find it. I wish I found it sooner! Go here, eat inside, and enjoy the service and good food! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Shrimp PO Boy
They were SUPER busy when I walked in to pick up my to-go order, so I definitely understand making a few mistakes. (Which some of the other customers in there were super inconsiderate to other customers, I could only imagine what the staff had to go through with them. Jeez...) The flavors are good, but... $12 for this? With no side? Come on, man. (This is only half of the sandwich) 2 tomato slices, 2 tiny pickle slices, and maybe 3 little shreds of iceberg lettuce. I first visited Lil Ray’s in the late 90’s with my grandparents. I remember a super friendly staff and a mouth watering poboy. That was the first and last time I visited as I am not from the area. A few years (and hurricanes) later, I had the pleasure of visiting again this week and was not disappointed. The service was exceptional, and the food was hot and every bit as good as before. High compliments, Lil Ray’s! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10 Recommended dishes Fried Green Tomatoes

Excellent roast beef poboy. When it came out with a fork I knew it was going to be good. Staff was friendly and courteous. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
First time visit to this establishment. Ordered 2 shrimp Po-boy combos. I excitedly awaited the arrival of my shrimp po-boy,only to be delivered a plate of disappointment. As you can see in my photo I had to hunt for shrimp. There were no more than 6-7 small shrimp on the entire sandwich. Paid about $37 total for 2 combos and left hungry. Most bites were nothing but bread and lettuce. There was a reason the server never returned to ask how the food was. I should have read recent reviews about puny portions. Don't make the same mistake I did and get your shrimp po-boy fix from someplace that doesn't serve snack size sandwiches. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
The food is excellent the atmosphere is better than average but their hours are terrible. We usually don't get to go there when we're deciding dinner because they're already closed my son doesn't get off work until 7:30 p.m. by the time we get there forget about it.
It's a small location tucked away in a strip mall but I can't imagine it any other way. It gives off an old school diner feel with a counter directly in front of you when you come through the door. And, the food is pretty good too. Although they don't offer many chicken options so in the three times that I've been there, I have ordered their chicken wrap which comes with a side of fried green beans (my favorite part of the meal). The atmosphere is friendly but I have yet to see any diversity throughout the staff. They also offer a drive-thru pick up window for called in orders. This place might as well just shut the doors . Place changed a lot. The quality of food sucks with small portions. Then don't serve catfish no more. They suck

This is my first and last time going to this restaurant. The hostess was pretty nice and warming, and I was anticipating decent service at least. The service I received is pretty much the worst I've seen in a while. Instead of listing all the things Rex. G did wrong 😳. I'll just sum it up as him pretty much getting my drink, giving me my food, and giving me my check, and that's it. No, Hello, no communication, no straw, no table cleaning, no service. I could have just ordered to go. What made it worse is I have to wait a long time for him to come back to the table to get my check. Only reason he checked my table to give me my check was due to the young lady telling him I was ready for the check, since I made it obvious having my credit card out and having all my trash on the side of the table. What made my experience worse is I'm looking at the bald head waiter cleaning his tables, talking to guests, and actually giving customers service. I gave Rex G. a dollar tip since I always tip. Honestly, I wanted to give him 0% since I basically got 0 service. I wanted to order more as well, but since it took forever to get a straw and he didn't come back to see if I liked the food I decided not to since I wanted to try the tuna dip. The food wasn't bad, but the service and my experience were bad enough to make this place a one-off for me. I don't know if it was racism, bad waiting, or a 1 top. I've been to places with bad waiters, but the other staff usually made up for that one bad waiter. The female hostess was cool. The other waiter was good to other guests, but he pretty much ignored me like I wasn't his problem 😕. The receipt given was just a customer and merchant copy and not an itemized receipt showing individualized cost transactions. I just got the receipts showing the total cost of the bill. Called the restaurant afterward to complain, the male answered the phone and said no manager was available, and didn't know when or what time one would be available. 12:50 Nov 29th phone call 11:51:29 am check 9-1, table 25, Rex G Nov 29th Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
