This is my new favorite beef noodle restaurant in Taipei. The fact that their broth is light in color but intense in flavor means that they the flavor is not added by just putting soy sauce.

Tasty noodles and, friendly service. After many muted, slightly sweet meals at other places, we enjoyed the delicious broth, perfectly cooked noodles and tasty beef. The accompanying spicy dips were a nice addition too.

Ordered the signature beef noodles. I like the soup and noodles, exactly my taste. The meat itself isn't really impressive, a bit dry in my opinion. Yet I consider the soup as the most vital part of beef noodles so I'd still give it a thumb up.
There aren't many seats and the place is popular so better go early on weekend. We queued for about 30 minutes to get in during lunchtime. Take cash only.
Delicious beef noodle soup in a hole-in-the wall Restaurant. Staff is helpful to foreigners and you can pick some additional small dishes like tofu from the bar. Prepare for some queuing though

It’s not the red 紅燒 type of beef noodles. It is a 清湯 beef noodle, meaning soy sauce isn’t the dominant flavour. I’d have to say that the beef quality isn’t the best, not all pieces are tender, so next time I would opt for the soup and noodle version. The soup has an incredibly beefy taste, it is deep and meaty and incredibly warming. The grease that forms on top is not cloying, it is a plus. It’s just an intense bowl of beef stock with some sweetness and the taste of spices. Some might not enjoy the floury taste of the noodles, but the texture definitely pairs well with the soup. Remember to get the 豆乾 (stewed tofu) it is wonderfully porous and the lady cuts them super thin and dunks it in a soup/sauce before plating. Porous=retains more flavour, more holes for sauce and soup! Really recommend this place if you want a 清湯牛肉麵 but don’t come here expecting a 紅燒牛肉麵!
