I saw great reviews for this bakery on a gluten free app but sadly was disappointed. I tried three different desserts. The cowboy cookie was decent. The chocolate espresso cake was insanely dry. It tasted a couple of days old. The cinnamon roll as well was off. It was far more dense than a cinnamon roll should be and the taste, especially the icing, was pretty bland. I threw the cake and cinnamon roll out as they certainly weren't worth the calories. $15 for three desserts where only one was eatable left a bad taste in my mouth. Pun intended.

First visit to Leven today!!! Definitely a great way to start out the new year! Tried the patty melt, tomato soup, egg sandwich, Brussels sprouts, date latte with coconut milk, iced tea, apple pie, cowboy cookie. Spent about $80 for everything enough food & dessert for two! Worth it & definitely planning a trip back! If you follow a gluten free diet this place will be heavenly for you.

Friendly, cute, and it just feels so nice to have a place my GF diet is normal.
And, not having to worry about cc in a restaurant is such a blessing.
I had the French toast and got eggs a la carte. It was delicious! And I’m out here not reacting!

Gluten-free and delicious!! My friends and I enjoyed a dinner here at Leven and were amazed with the quality of each dish. All the workers were so kind and the owner himself came over to our table to share more about his mission and goal for his cafe/restaurant, which is to encourage his customers with healthy eating and being able to do so without needing to overspend. I was especially amazed with their gluten-free baked goods! Also, couldn’t resist but get a lavender latte! I definitely plan on coming back for more! ◡̈

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Levan, an exceptional gluten-free cafe restaurant, and it was nothing short of a culinary delight. The lentil and chickpea salad was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, and the orange almond cake was a sweet treat that left me craving for more. The commitment to gluten-free options was a significant plus for me, ensuring that everyone can enjoy these delectable dishes. I would wholeheartedly give Levan a 10 out of 10 for its delicious food and warm ambiance. I can't wait to return for more!

I had the privilege to visit Leven for a weekend brunch with my boys. I had the cheesy egg on toast, custard french toast, brownie, yogurt housemade granola. To my surprise, everything tasted super fresh and delicious. Never had I imagined GLUTEN FREE will be this delicious. I got so impressed that I ordered a custom gluten free, dairy free chocolate cake for my son. It was ready on time, and packaged wonderfully. It beats all the so called "healthy" cakes from all these health food stores. Super fresh, moist, and perfect in every way. I totally would highly recommend Leven to anyone wanting to have a delicious, healthy, and gluten free meal. Last but not least, chef Franklin was so nice to personally take my order and executed it with flying colors. Truly a 5 star experience, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We had a fantastic experience at Leven. The food was great. I couldn’t believe that everything is GF.
Our favorites were the patty melt, French toast, roasted turmeric cauliflower, the blueberry muffin, and the carrot cake loaf. Service was great and we had a chance to meet and chat with the owner. I brought a loaf of sourdough, bag of granola, and some brownie bites for home. All are so good! Still shocked that everything is GF. It’s definitely worth checking out!

EAT REAL FOOD. YES! Wen & Franklin have really hit the mark with this all in one specialty restaurant, cafe, bakery. It's SO NICE to not have to worry about whether or not there's gluten in ANYTHING due to celiac. I first spoke to Wen over the phone and he took great care to explain the menu to me with patience, knowledge, passion and kindness. Then today 9.28.23 while ordering, Franklin kindly explained ingredients in the dishes to help avoid an onion allergy as well. Jovan was welcoming and attentive as we considered the menu and ordered our food. Aeryn was thoughtful about cooking and presenting our meals and checked on us to be sure everything was going well. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's clear that this place is a labor of love and an investment of energy, time, creativity and skill. Exceptional, unique and flavorful food. Relaxing ambience and atmosphere. There's indoor and outdoor seating, outlets for charging devices along the wall or at the coffee bar. There's beautiful tables and chairs. Everything is thoughtfully done with their mission in mind: to "strengthen community through food" (quote from Wen). Thank you for bringing this to Bellaire/Houston, Laura & Tom Duda
