So glad me made a detour to catch this restaurant! Longest operating restaurant in Hampton county. I believe I've never gotten food this great from a buffet. Great homestyle, country cooking and plenty of it, only place I know to go get rutabagas. The greens are fantastic and old-Timey, salted fatback right on the buffet to eat with the greens and other vegetables. Choice Fried Chicken, pork roast, and pulled pork. Great service, great homey, friendly, picnic style atmosphere, buffet style. Tons of comfort foods like home seasoned rice, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. You'll never run out of your drinks, because they bring the whole pitcher to your table. Also features a salad and dessert bar! One of my favorite places to go anywhere!! Worth going out of your way try!!! Make sure to leave time for a nap after you here!! / Update, 8-13-22 The food was better than ever, today. And I may be the only one happy about it. But they added jalapenos to the salad bar. :) / 10-26-23 update; I usually won't let myself have it. But I ate light. And Lester's has fresh fried fat-back to put in your greens... The food as well as the service was great! Those rutabagas were the best I've ever eaten, & I'm an 86 year old "farm girl" so I know what good country cooking should taste like! I live 2 hours away but will definitely be back when visiting Estill. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Arrive hungry because you're gonna want to try a little bit of everything on the buffet! It's all good! Today I had fried chicken, roast beef, ham, BBQ, yams, sweet potato souffle, hash, mashed potatoes, green beans, collards, and banana pudding. But there was so much more I didn't have room for! Casual buffet style with some long tables for families or groups and smaller tables also. Clean restrooms. Friends, this is the Holy Grail, what road food warriors search for- a place hidden in the fields, deep in the woods, patronized by locals and run by a few warm and friendly ladies who put their heart and soul into homecooking that is no different than what you'd get if you ate in their kitchen. The desserts were spectacular, the fried chicken crisp and fresh. If you're ever in the area (which you likely won't be), go!

I gave food 1 star, bc to leave a review, i had to rate it, otherwise there would be NO STAR. This place was always good, but the last 2 times we went, lastnight being one of those times, it was horrible. The food was not good. Everything is the same except the quality of the cooking of the food. Not tasty & felt like a huge waste of money. IF I ever go back, it will be a long time.
