Attentive, friendly staff. Consistently good food here. This location is long overdue for a refresh/remodel - but likely this chain, like so many others, may still be recovering from the economic impacts of COVID-19 so I’m sure they’ll get back to normal - but I would not NOT miss out on their food simply because of that temporary situation. My buddy and I went for breakfast on a Sunday around 11:00 AM. We were promptly seated and the food and service was excellent. I recommend the gyro omelet and add feta, it will not disappoint. I order soup for breakfast. When it was delivered it was like they opened the can and poured it into my Togo container. I called and her response was well it is early. No apology 1st just it’s early. Then why are you selling the soup?? Just wow. I didn’t even bother to ask for a manager I just got off the phone. If it’s not right or ready why are you still selling it. Hard to get good customer service these days. FYI. I usually loveeeee the lemon chicken rice soup here has lots of flavor but I order here to much to be told this and I’ve gotten hot soup in the morning Just disappointing!!!!! What a terrible experience we watched this place go downhill right before our eyes. All the ingredients are offbrand. From the sugars to the coffee to the grits and eggs, being watery, and the extremely aged syrup bottle that’s been refilled over and over with some unknown syrup. They made this a law years ago that Coney Island can’t do this any longer. the waitress was very unresponsive and said sorry I’m extremely sleepy. The lemonade was disgusting . The water taste like it was out of Belleville Lake . The hashbrowns was completely dried out and hard.. note to go boxes for us! Took my receipt to the counter, where I was charged a different amount for my actual receipt. The cashier could not explain to me why. Always wonderful service and EXCELLENT food. While they have all the coney island favorites on the menu, they also have some healthy options that have incredibly generous portions and are actually good! The service is exceptional, never leaving your drinks empty and servers are so attentive. Been going here for years, never disappointed. And they have WAFFLE FRIES!! Update: still never disappointed, have now tried the corned beef hash and the LEMON RICE soup is a game changer ( I don't even like soups). Food and service are still fantastic. Still as good as I remembered it. I ordered the chicken fingers pita with fries and my wife ordered the club sandwich with fries. Pretty basic dishes but they do both very well without doubt. I would recommend giving this joint a try because everything I've ever had has always been good.
