This place is the real deal. The best latkes I’ve had since my neighbor, Mrs Rothberg, made them for me as a kid. The pastry basket that comes with the breakfast entrees alone is worth a trip. Top 3 of our favorite breakfast spots in St.Pete/Clearwater. Our favorite items are the Danish basket and home fries. They always have good specials too. I was recommend Lenny's by a friend and I'm glad I was! The restaurant has history and years of loyal customers. It's got a retro vibe and keep in mind that parking gets full quickly pretty early. Everything here is so good and the staff are always so nice! I love the vibe of the place, the rotating specials like duck bacon and gator omelets are amazing, thank you for being awesome! This was our first visit to Lenny's. To be honest I was a bit put off by the dated interior, clean but dated. However, we had a very nice, friendly waitress and she took our order quickly. She brought our drinks and a small basket of baked goods - "Lenny's danish basket", a tasty, unexpected treat! Our food arrived and it was all very good!! The Lenny burger is huge, my son only ate half! 😂 He took the other half home and ate it later. The tuna sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich and salad were all very good! We will definitely go back. Another institution dishing out breakfast and lunch for over 40 years at the same spot. The place is off an off-ramp to and from major local thoroughfares. Inside the place looks lived in but kept clean. It could use a little decluttering... The food came out quickly and fresh. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. I had two eggs over easy, home fries with sauteed onion (which was an on- point suggestion from my waitress), bacon and sourdough toast. Even the coffee tasted fresh and delicious. Having said that, the service is what takes this place to the GREAT level! The servers are engaging, efficient, highly effective and as a bonus, easy on the eyes 👀! My server took my order, brought it out quickly and made suggestions like she was reading my mind. Great experience!
