My return home was made exceptionally special, thanks to a surprise lunch date at Lei Garden, orchestrated by my thoughtful husband right after picking me up from the airport. This gesture, combined with the joy of seeing my beloved dog and spouse again, was wonderfully augmented by the promise of indulging in Lei Garden’s unparalleled dim sum - a culinary highlight we always look forward to. Lei Garden has cemented its place in our hearts as the ultimate destination for quality dim sum. The restaurant’s commitment to excellence is evident in every dish served. Our favorites were presented steaming hot, a testament to their freshness and the kitchen’s dedication to delivering the best dining experience. The flavors were as comforting and delightful as ever, making each bite a reminder of why we keep coming back. The staff at Lei Garden deserves special mention for their exceptional service. Their long-standing presence suggests a loyalty and consistency that’s rare to find. Their attentiveness is remarkable; a quick glance their way guarantees immediate assistance, making us feel valued and well-cared for throughout our meal. A noteworthy instance of their exemplary service occurred when, in my jet-lagged state, I mistakenly wrote a $200 tip on the bill. Demonstrating honesty and integrity, the staff promptly found us at the door to verify the amount. This act of kindness and honesty was deeply appreciated and speaks volumes about the character of Lei Garden’s team. Lei Garden is not just a restaurant; it’s a haven of delightful culinary experiences, underscored by genuine hospitality and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s our preferred spot for celebrating the simple joys of life with good food and great company. Our latest visit was a reminder of the many reasons we cherish this place. Heartfelt thanks to Lei Garden for another unforgettable dining experience and for upholding the highest standards of food quality and service. Five stars all the way! We went to Lei Garden to celebrate Chinese New Year - Year of the Dragon. The restaurant was full and very loud. To be expected, as everyone was there to celebrate. The menu was great. Food quality was top tier. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant, this is a wonderful choice. This was one of the best Chinese meals I've had in the US. Amazing and authentic. Stepping in and tasting the food, it's as if I've been transported back to Asia. Of course don't expect any exemplary service or any small talk here. Service is akin to restaurants in Hong Kong. The manager, server and chefs speak Cantonese. That's how you know it's legit. The restaurant was clean and decor was fine, but the restaurant was a bit short staffed, so service was a bit slow. The combination BBQ platter that we ordered was mostly great except the roasted pork, whose skin was not crispy and the meat was also tough to bite into. The baked sea bass didn't taste fresh and was quite disappointing. However, the friend rice was very good. Despite the shortcomings, this restaurant is still a solid Chinese restaurant. We're kind of regulars here -- visit about once every few months with a mid-size party. This is a great place for families eating family style. Some dishes come out fairly quickly while others (understandably) take a little while longer. It all works out when you're sharing anyway. Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
We came all the way here for their dim sum. To my surprise, I just had the most authentic taste of HK dim sum I have tried in California yet. After trying their dim sum, I could say this restaurant was the real deal. The price was okay for us as we compared them to the dim sum restaurants we have visited. Not that much difference but better taste. The restaurant’s decorations tells you right away which cuisine you’ll be having. Very Chinese-looking! The staff was fast and attentive. As long as you waved, you’re bound to get the attention of one waiter and they will try their best to fulfill your request even though they’re a bit understaffed. It's the final day of the festival and I decided to come here for lunch. I really enjoyed their service, everything is at such a speed. The moment we arrived the front desk lady made us seated and the menu in hand. While we were seated she asked what we would like to drink and it was in no time right in front of us. We gave our order on the menu and in no time while we were sipping jasmine tea one by one the dishes came in. Literally it's like a factory line where everything is so synchronized that not a single fault as one moves the second will pick it up and hence customers enjoy the food while one by one the food is delivered at your table. I don't remember waiting for my food. Everything was so delicious that I was busy eating. My friend and I ordered dimsum, and the dessert, cute bunny coconut dessert was a good one and others, more to come in the pictures. You have to visit this place because few desserts they have which other dimsum places don't have. I highly recommend this place. There is a good variety of dim sum. The dim sum didn’t taste that good - it’s probably cause they were seating out for a bit the only thing that came warm were the fried pumpkins and milk. Most Dim Sum were cold by time it arrived table they didn’t taste that good or “fresh”. I’m not sure if it’s the AC, but most food were not warm. It was the first time for me and I liked it ,but it wasn't amazing. The food was fresh, healthy, and lightly seasoned. Clean all around. They brought out the food quickly ,but I didn't care for how they'd push your hand aside and say , no!no! " When I helped turn the order menu for them . Thats when they cross off the orders individually. Might or might not go back. Service Dine in Price per person $100+ Atmosphere: 3
