One of my favorite restaurants in the US. The dining space is in an interior courtyard and feels festive; the noise level reflects that you are eating communally but it’s never hard to talk and be heard. The food is outstanding: it is my idea of what modern French cuisine should be but rarely is. We split almost everything including drinks and that was not a problem. We started with a lobster salad that had chunks of very fresh Maine lobster with julienne veggies in a light vinaigrette. I had the veal which was actually veal and not young beef: the medallions were perfectly cooked and served in a delicious verjus sauce. My wife had the quail which, although technically an appetizer was sufficient as a main course. Finally, the Grand Marnier soufflé was just the right amount of sweet and outstanding. We shared a French 75, a glass of Chablis, and a glass of Pinot Noir, all of which were excellent. It was a memorable dining experience, not cheap, but worth every penny. Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere and service. We sat outside under the trees and bistro lights, and it was such a romantic, lovely time. Food was beautifully prepared (our group enjoyed the lobster, salmon, and lamb, and all were impeccable). We ended our meal with the Grand Marnier soufflé.
