Great addition to Main Street Cedar Falls. Almond Croissant was very good! The toaster pastry was very good! The breakfast burger was good. It has a lot of different flavors going on so it was a little much for our kids but really well thought out combination. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The pastries are so flaky and delicious! For some reason the coffee wasn't my favorite but everything else was amazing. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I tried the Croissanwich, bacon, eggs and cheese sandwich, and tarts here. The sandwiches and bread were delicious, but I was disappointed by the small size, just like my mug. I wouldn't have been disappointed if they had included a side salad. Also, the tarts were so hard that they were difficult to cut with a knife and to chew. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
I’ve been here on two occasions. The first was in the morning for coffee and pastries. Let’s be clear, the pastries rock! The lemon tart and chocolate croissant were fantastic! I was also a fan of the pour-over coffee. It was smooth and delicious. The second time was for lunch. It was a cooler day so I ordered the PB&J and a cup of the French onion soup. The sandwich hit the spot. The soup, however, was disappointing. The broth was clear, lacked that rich flavor, and left a stale aftertaste. I wasn’t able to eat it. It was unlike any French onion soup I’d ever eaten and I wouldn’t recommend it. My friend quite enjoyed the creamed spinach and curds. I felt like the staff was much friendlier on the first visit than the second. We didn’t even get a smile when we walked to the counter on the second visit. If you’re in downtown Cedar Falls, I highly recommend dropping in for a pastry. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Visited on 8/16/23 between 11:50pm-12:15pm. Formerly the Carter House; This opened back in late July 2023. Food was great & service was friendly. Only downside is pricey. Smash Burger $12, Spinach & Curds $5 & 1 bottle of Soda for $3.50... total came to almost $22. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Their French pastries are very good. The selection varies by the day. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu. The breakfast quiche is great and the creamed spinach for lunch is also very good. The long wait for a cup of coffee is the only negative. Please patronize this restaurant so we can continue to have some great options in Cedar Falls. The bad: forced gratuity even if you are getting it to go. I applaud owner's desire to pay a fair wage and provide benefits, but I'd be more inclined to pay higher price than to be forced to pay a gratuity on something I am getting "to go". The pastries are really good, but I find it hard to return or because of the forced tipping policy. If I sat down and had table service, I would be glad to tip and tip well. Just go there. Do it. Best shrimp and grits I've had in many, many years. The lemon ricotta pancakes will make you throw rocks at the Original Pancake House. No joke, they will change your life, pancake-wise. The coffee was excellent and the staff were all top tier. Croissants were amazing and so flaky. We tried the Pain Au Chocolat and the goat cheese and onion croissants paired with the delicious pour over coffee and cold brew coffees. Service was amazing and it’s a beautiful little cozy bakery! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited a few weeks after open. There was a line to the door, but we got our order in within ten minutes and the food only ten minutes after that. We tried the Madeline's, Toast with Eggs, Eggs Benny, and Shrimp and Grits. All of the food was good and different for the area! Shrimp and Grits could have been a touch warmer, but it was all cooked and seasoned very well. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was attentive. Our only recommendation is to give the silverware to the customers right after placing the order so we didn't have to wait for it after getting the food. However we will be going back as all other items we saw come out looked excellent! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
