This was a casual dining place that is very Swedish in that a lot of the service is do-it-yourself. The fallout of that is that Laxbutiken has a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy their excellent, fresh seafood.

Delicious fresh seafood restaurant. They have lots of salmon dishes to choose from.
To buy cold take-out food or any products or gifts from the store, you need to get a ticket by the entrance, wait for your number to be served.
Eat in hot/cold dishes can be ordered at the rear of the cold section. You can then help yourself to the warm breads or crackers when you pick up your dish.
Their seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. The dining environment is spacious and clean. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Lovely restaurant, would recommend you have a barcode/QR code scanner app, as the menus are in Swedish, but you have the option to see it in English, this is predominantly a salmon restaurant with all things salmon, even the fish n chips, which I picked as I'm not a massive salmon fan, however I loved it, as simple as it was I actually really enjoyed it, the only gripe I had was I had to pay by card, but I was told by our hosts that a lot of shops/businesses are "going down that road", but wasn't a massive problem, service, food and ambiance was great, if you want to book private rooms for groups of people, you can, and that's not all, there are also different themed rooms too, which as quite novel, it's definitely worth a visit, even if you're not keen on eating salmon, I reckon it would convert you as it did me 👍

Fantastiskt! This is a MUST-DO IF you are in the area, and if you do like salmon! Fantastic! So many different dishes to choose between. We could not! We bought fantastic salmonsalad, salmonpie, salmonbakery, salmonfile', salmon... It ended up costing us a fortune 😅😅😅
But it was worth it!
We sat outside our mobilecar and ate like pigs! It was so tasty!!! I had goosebumps from eating The LAXBAKELSE!!! Salmoncake ...? It absoloutely melted in my mouth...!!! Also The salmonpie I can highly recomend! My husbandet recomend The Salmonsalad!
Highly recommended place to go if you are Salmon lover! The place prepare the salmon to perfection and serve as many variation of Salomon you possible can think of. You can also buy finished dishes or salmon to prepare yourself at home. I came here for lunch, a nice big portion with bread, water and coffee or tea included in the price.
Sine og the best food I’ve had at a highway location. The staff is smiling and helpful. The place is not so cozy, but very clean and spacious.

This place is everything it promises to be. A place for Salmon. Even though the restaurant itself is pretty basic (think something like Ikea), the food is absolutely stunning. Some of the best salmon I've ever had. Plus, even though it looked like a 30 min wait time for the food, we entered the doors, and received our food, in maximum 10 min. Super fast service, with Superfast food, what more can you wish for?
Our favourite stop on the E6. For a roadside restaurant this is definitely worth 5 stars. Good value dishes, mostly with salmon obviously but there are other and veggie alternatives. There’s also a take out shop. 4 EV charger points, which work with the EasyPark app, just note they are pretty slow when 4 cars are hooked up. Warmly recommended, will always stop for a bit to eat when passing by.
