Food was amazing! My unexpected favorite was the spicy fried tofu. I did not preview the menu and it was a little more expensive than I'd hoped for (approx $190 with tip for 2 adults and 2 tweens) but the portions were larger than anticipated and we definitely over ordered for the table even with my wife and daughter sharing an entree. That's okay - fantastic lunch for tomorrow! Will certainly visit again. Last note - dining room was completely booked and only bar top tables available for reservation; don't let it discourage you from booking! It still offered great ambience and service. This meal start to finish was transcendent. Dishes and cocktails were well thought out and had such beautiful flavors. The Thai duck had me floored as it reminded me of my favorite duck place, Sun Wah, in Chicago. My only wish is that I could’ve had a bao bun with the duck. Easily one of my new favorite Asian restaurants to eat in the Twin Cities which is a difficult spot to achieve. More reasonable than Gai Noi and Khaluna. Our server was sweet and very attentive. I am more than excited to return and try more dishes in the future.

I've been curious about this place for a long time, mostly because of the Southeast Asian food offered, specifically Filipino food. So, of course, we ordered the lumpia and the lechon first. The lumpia was loooong lol it's usually served at half the size of the wrapper, sometimes even a quarter or an eight the size. It is very tasty, though, with pork and some veggies in it. It's just as good as a real Filipino lumpia. The lechon served was what we would call "lechon kawali," which is deep fried pork. These are huge cuts of pork with crispy fat. I personally can only eat one, but many people like this dish. We also ordered a side of the pickled veggies-- a wonderful compliment to these deep fried foods. We honestly could've stopped there, but we ordered main dishes: Drunken Noodles and the Thai Basil Duck. The drunken noodles was salty but the duck was pretty good. The sauce it comes with is tangy and salty. However, I don't understand how a Southeast Asian restaurant does not serve rice with their main dishes. They aren't meant to be eaten on their own, and should come with rice and a spoon! I noticed there weren't many Asians in the dining room, but maybe that has to do with it being fusion and a little pricey. We still made room to order their turon, a Filipino dessert usually made of a sweet/ starchy banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper and fried in caramel oil. Their rendition is pretty good, although I didn't care for the ube creme fraiche. I'd come back here to try the other desserts and cocktails. All around 100/100 experience. I’ve been coming here for two years now and at times, we are here twice a week! The food is always delicious! From the tofu to red snapper to the noodles. The staff is always nice and friendly.. All the bartenders make good drinks. From the mocktails to the alcoholic beverages, I have yet to have a bad experience. I recommend making a reservation because a lot of people love this place. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Thai Basil Wings
Really delicious food and tasty cocktails! This was my first time checking out Lat14 and the standouts of the meal were the Creamy Tom Yum Ramen and the Thai Basil Wings. The staff were friendly and the ambiance was really nice, great decor and overall vibe. Convenient location. I can't wait to return to try more dishes, definitely recommend checking it out 🙂 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Thai Basil Wings

We were very happy with our choice tonight. Food, service, atmosphere were all great. We tried the drunken noodles with tofu. It was so delicious, loved the tamarind sauce, basil, garlic...yum. Also got the spicy tofu (small plate), it was so crunchy, our daughter really liked it. Finished with the desert Thai Tea Creme Brûlée. That was one of the best Creme Brulee I ever had. Thai Tea definitely made it lighter than a regular one. Definitely one of our favorite places now and will go back again. I also can not say how nice was our server was. He gaves us recommendations. Overall we had a great time. Thanks. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I ordered the Basil Wings, Drunken Noodles with Chicken, Thai Basil Duck with a side of stick rice, La Vie En Rose, and Lat 14 Tonic. Everything was fresh and cooked perfect. Plating was beautifully done. Flavors were good. The Basil fried with the chicken wings was my favorite. Overall good experience. The food at Lat14 is solidly “good,” but not excellent only because I’ve had other experiences that have been more unique. Still, the Asian-fusion cuisine is worth exploring. The drinks, for some, might have “too much” going on, and some might think “less is more.” Still, all was good with excellent service and a professional atmosphere.
