We visited Las Bovedas on a recommendation; a friend of ours lives in the building and has dined here before. Top notch all the way around. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
I had the Spagueti Bovedas which was served with a nice bit of beef. It says 'filete' but it's not what an American would expect as a filet of beef. More like a very tender flank steak or skirt steak, I guess? It was well seasoned and not quite fork-tender. I did have to use the table knife to cut it. The pasta was properly cooked and the sauce was very nearly a pomodoro but not quite as creamy. I didn't lick the plate when I was done but it was a close run thing. The only thing I think would improve this dish would be a nice piece of garlic toast to get the last bit of sauce.
She had the Corvina Frita because they were out of Parga. The presentation was pretty simple but the fish was very good - properly cooked and lightly seasoned - and the fries were crispy like they're supposed to be. She also had a Maracuya Daquiri which was well enjoyed.
My ice tea was a bit of a surprise simply due to the amount of foam. It was a bit more citrusy than I prefer but experience says that's the way it goes here in Panama. I typically order my tea unsweetened with no lemon so it has been a bit of an adjustment for me.
For Dessert we had the wontons. Something du leche I think, I didn't get pics of all the menu pages mainly because there were a lot of them. LOL. Imagine if you will, a traditional crab puff but instead filled with caramel. And not the sticky-sweet Americanized caramel but real caramel. Very nice finish to an excellent meal. Although I would always go for something chocolate if it's available. Our friends had the cheesecake and it looked quite good although they did run into some strawberry leaves in the fruit puree topping.
All of the seating is essentially 'outdoors'; just half is covered. The surf sounds are a nice accompaniment although they do have music going in the background.
Sweet kitty hangs around without being a nuisance; mostly wandering around and occasionally just sitting and staring at random diners to let them know (s)he's available if any food hits the floor.
Great value, IMHO. 2 entrees, an alcoholic drink, a non-alcoholic drink and a dessert was less than $60 including a generous tip.

We ate there five times while staying in a gorgeous Airbnb in that building. You cannot beat the experience of dining while listening and watching the waves crash on the shore. It’s spectacular! We enjoyed every plate we ordered, in particular the Lomo Saltado. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Service is super slow, so be prepared to have a leisurely dining experience. We assumed everything took so long because it’s made fresh to order. Don’t hesitate to give this place a try!

Excellent food and a very wide selection of dishes. Seating overlooking the ocean. It takes them a while to prepare the food, but it is worth the wait. Delicious!
