They pay attention to detail. Scratch-made. Excellent quality...one of the best restaurants in FBG (I've lived here 30 yrs). You're missing out if you don't eat here. I ordered the Lakenvelder burger, and my husband got the Swiss mushroom burger. Both were very tasty. We ordered several desserts to take home to enjoy with our kids. What a great experience! I’m so glad we decided to give Läkenvelder a try. We come to Fredericksburg often and love trying new places. The atmosphere and decor just makes you feel good from the moment you walk in. Glenn provided fantastic service and the food was worth coming back for. So many things we wanted to try. The cocktail menu is inspired but not intimidating; I wanted to try one of each! When it came to food, I ended up with the smoked turkey and my husband had the brisket. Both were juicy and flavorful, perfectly prepared! We’ll be back… maybe tomorrow! 😁

Decent food Had the Fritz Pie (bbq sauce needs to be mixed with the brisket and not on the side-also, meat was not very hot) Cheesesteak Sandwich (from Texas eats) onion rings, and coleslaw was good. Mac and cheese had too much garlic and onion powder-very overwhelming. We will be back to try the smoked burgers. Very decent prices.

Had the chicken fried chicken and was great. The owner came around to greet, and since we go to Fredricksburg often, we wanted to try this place out. Will definitely come back, and bartender K. This was an amazing restaurant for date night or with your family. The atmosphere has wonderful Italian music playing, the waitress and staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The food is 5 star dining all the way but at great prices. The scallops were amazing. That bacon parmesan butter sauce was so delicious. I had the Gorgonzola steak pasta and it was amazing. The chef makes the sauces, dressings, even the croutons for the salad from scratch. It was wonderful. My son had the appetizer beer battered cod with fries. Her homemade tartar sauce was amazing and the fish was light and fluffy. My husband had the peach bourbon porkchop. It was really delicious. He also had the texas peach whiskey with lemonade and ice tea. He said it was perfect and not too sweet. We got the peach bourbon bread pudding and the peach cobbler for dessert. Sorry no pictures of dessert because it was too good! This place is a wonderful addition to Fredericksburg’s phenomenal restaurant community. We had BBQ chicken with a side of cole slaw and potato salad. We enjoyed the moist chicken and potato salad, but the cole slaw wasn'tvery tasty. It wasn't creamy. It just seemed like cabbage and carrots mixed together. The staff were friendly, and it was too hot to sit outside on the patio. The interior was nicely decorated with German hillcountry inspired signs and art pieces. BBQ brisket was $35 per pound.
