LOVE everything about this little hidden treasure. The food is amazing, the staff is beyond friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect and cozy. The location is great, near a bunch of antique shops within walking distance. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Everything about Lake House signals comfort and charm. On a recent Saturday afternoon, my sister Renee and friend Jason and I enjoyed a wonderful brunch and settled into each other’s company. Several cups of coffee in…. And having opined about everything from the music scenes in the tri-state area to the challenge of becoming a minimalist and tons more “coffee tawk” in between, we vibed with management and were treated like FAMILY. Three thumbs up! Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
What a fantastic find! My husband and I were looking for a quick bite on our way to Open Box Shop. We were greeted by Terry (a lovely man who I think will be my new bestie!) We decide on soup to start. My husband had split pea with ham and I had an incredibly flavorful chicken with white bean and spinach. They were both so good. My husband had the chicken cutlet with smashed potato croquettes and cheese. He enjoyed it a lot and it was enough for a lunch and dinner! We will definitely be back! ---Edit 2/11/24--- I've come here twice since my initial review and have some revised thoughts. The ladies that were the wait staff when I first came were very attentive and quick. The last 2 times there's been this guy there that seems to love to talk to guests. So much so that he takes a long time to take orders and also forgets to bring coffee. I guess that's cool for regulars but when there's only 2 other guests in the cafe, it's not great when you're served slowly. Guy was also cleaning (dusting) and touching everything and using those same hands to touch our utensils and food. Also licked his fingers to separate the menus and hand them to us (have we learned nothing during covid?). Not a fan. Food was still good, definitely no complaints there. Got the French toast and eggs benedict. The coffee isn't quite as good as when I first came here. Not sure if it's a different flavor or roast but it's a bit off. ----------------------------------- Came in around lunch time on Saturday and was able to get a seat immediately. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Restaunt is clean and the decor is vintage. Ordered the eggs benedict and the blueberry orange ricotta pancakes. They ran out of the Canadian bacon for the eggs benedict so I opted for the homemade ham and it was delicious. The eggs are a bit runnier than I'm used to but wasn't a big deal since everything else was delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfect on top and loved the crispy potato side. Both seasoned perfectly. The pancakes are on the smaller side compared to some breakfast places but it tastes darn good. The blueberries were fresh and the orange ricotta gave it a bright sweetness. Their coffee is also top notch and the large parking lot outside makes coming here a breeze.
