Note to self: Don't allow your husband to order for you without specific instructions! My food was good and would have been great had it been ordered as is. The icing on the meal was to get to listen to the band playing live! They were fantastic. Our server was superb too!
Nice place. Was attending a celebration of life event. Staff was on point. Clean restaurant.
We just stopped in the grab drinks and listen to music. We found 2 spots at the bar. I believe they accept reservations. I would suggest that. We were told all tables were reserved for the night. At almost 8, there were still 10 open. Great atmosphere, great service. A must try place.
September 11 and 12, 2023 - Memphis, TN The first night was so good, we went again the next night. The music atmosphere was great, as was the food! Some notable musicians that have played here, early in their careers: (mid 1970s) Chubby Checker, Chuck Berry, Chicago, Waylon Jennings, Billy Joel, Kiss, Kansas, Patti LaBelle, Rush, Jerry Lee Lewis, Barry Manilow, Ted Nugent, Bob Segar, Styx, Nazareth, and many more!

Went to with my work colleagues about a month ago for a Christmas team lunch on a weekday & was surprised that we had the place to ourselves. Great atmosphere, food, and amazing service from the staff. Our hostess kindly took some pics of the team in front of the iconic logo outside. We had such a good time that one of us left their Xmas card with a giftcard & another left her purse…we were chased down by the staff to return the items on each occurrence, appreciate the hospitality displayed by the staff!

My family came in town for my daughter's graduation from U of M. I called to make a reservation for 15 people for Sunday night, since the graduation was that afternoon. I had already planned to pay for everything, but when we walked in, I was told that there was a $5/person cover charge because some band was playing, so I paid. It was SUPER Extremely dark, and not the most enjoyable experience for personal interaction. The food and drinks were really good. One of my guests had the lamb chops and I was really impressed with them!! I would get carry out or go when there's not a band if I want to interact with my company.
I went here for lunch and the food and service was so great that I went back the next day. Abby, the hostess was very nice and helpful with menu. Today Jennifer was my server and she was so friendly and attentive. They have a live music each evening starting at 6pm. This place is super nice and very spacious; out door seating and 2nd floor. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is delicious. Definitely plan to visit again when in town. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

Great venue and great ambience. Music was fantastic and we had a superb time. It was finally great to have food which wasn't beige and actually had freshness and taste to it. Very well cooked lamb with lots of flavour...the Poke Bowl was fresh and we all enjoyed our dishes. Would definitely recommend if visiting Memphis

Lafayette Music room was the place we went to to meet mutual friends that we had known for years who were located here in Memphis. I didn't know what to expect about this place because this wasn't one of the places that was on my list of things to do. This place was actually located maybe a mile from the Airbnb that I was staying at so it was perfect as far as location which is in Midtown. We got there relatively early about 4:00 on a weekday. It was next to empty when we got there however it soon filled up with people. We ordered drinks we order appetizers and we eventually ordered food. We all liked our food for the most part and there was plenty of it. I have it listed at the end. What we didn't know we were going to like but did was the live music band. The band was everything. Since we were a table of 50 something women it was right in point for them to sing 80's music. I have to say I started singing, clapping and enjoying the music from my high school years. The guys singing in the band were our age as well and they could sing. Like really sing. Fried Calamari Served with fried banana peppers, roasted red peppers, and sriracha mayo- It took forever for this to come out for some reason. I'm grateful it was a lot of us talking so much that we dang near didn't pay attention but yes it took a long time for an appetizer. The server kept checking on us and apologizing however. The calamari was seasoned so we'll and was so good.
