Great food, great people, very friendly, personable, and tight knit. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves whether it’s the staff or the customers. The guy behind the bar is very fun, kind, and super efficient! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for either a classic breakfast, or something out of your comfort zone. Their chicken tinga with roasted veggies was the perfect meal and much to my surprise my iced latte hit the spot too! Wait time was my only grievance, but the music and atmosphere were a vibe while my group and I waited. Super cute diner, delicious food, awesome 90's and early 2000's music that inspires dancing and singing at tables. The brunch menu and atmosphere of this place was worth the wait. I had the chorizo cheese scramble and my son and husband had the double patty burgers. We also had an appetizer of the biscuit and gravy. Absolutely love Ladybird. They serve excellent food. Their breakfasts are mainly what I go there for. They have extraordinary service as well. If you want somewhere that feels like an old diner this is definitely the spot for you. I had the Dakota Texan, it's a lot of food so be prepared to take some home with you if you're not super hungry. Such a fun and funky spot! Perfect diner feel with the most eclectic decorations. We sat at the bar which is nestled on the side just past the pie case, filled with some of the most beautifully made pies! It was breakfast and busy. The food is incredible, my husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast, it came with an egg any style on top. He devoured it and I had The Dodge, two eggs any style, three strips of bacon and the most delicious handmade biscuit with gravy. It was massive and filling. I also had an iced vanilla latte that was chefs kiss. We finished off with a slice of the coconut cream pie, the filling decadent and the crust so perfectly made it melted in your mouth. We don't live right down the road but we will be visiting the town and the diner again. The town of Lawrence is one of the cutest downtown areas we've seen so far.
