Late night find for the family, after our flight was delayed arriving into Naples. What an outstanding meal we had, and the service was top notch. We arrived around 1030pm or so. It was lively inside with music and folks having a good time. We sat on the patio with great weather. No issue that we were a family with kids while it was mostly adults in the restaurant. Our waiter was outstanding, and had great recommendations. For appetizers, the mussels were great, as was the carpaccio. The bread was so good that we needed a few extra portions. My son said that the only pizza he's enjoyed as much was in Naples Italy, so they're clearly doing it well here in Naples Florida. I was recommended the cannelloni and it was perhaps the best I have ever had - pasta perfect, sauce perfect, just nailed it. Also gluten free pasta and/or pizza if that's something you need. Everything was perfect, this is the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been in US. Pastas, pizzas.. and cocktails were amazing. Only the guy at bar I don’t know the name and doesn’t matter was a little bit unfriendly:/ but hostesses took care of all the tables professionally. Thank you for amazing service and deliciousness. Wow. What happened, La Trattoria? Came here in December '21, had the Fettuccine Mare. Sublime. Rich, robust, creamy and decadent. Came back December '23, very excited to experience this dish again. Our order came out in 5 minutes. Bland, watery, sauce was not even pink or flavourful in any way. Calamari was chewy and discolored. I NEVER leave reviews, but the decline in quality from 2 years ago was so substantial, it compelled me to do so. It was borderline comical, the difference from 2 years ago. So utterly disappointed. To make matters worse, I was served a clam that was unopened. What a shame. Just an awful experience. Never returning. Do yourself a favor and hit Molto down the street for quality Italian. This is an absolutely amazing restaurant. Your food and service was wonderful. We walked by last night and inquired if there was any availability. The hostess mentioned that they were pretty full and reservations were generally required. She said to give her a moment and found us a table immediately and we were a party of five. Our server was so efficient refreshing and we did not wait at all for any of our food. Everything was brought out on a timely basis. And as I mentioned the food was absolutely delicious.
