I have eaten here a few times, and I'm very unimpressed. It's a place that tries to be a bit upscale and French, but they don't quite make it. They have a rather large menu, so I guess I might just have been unlucky (each time). Tonight I had pasta with a thin, very bland and flavourless seafood sauce containing nothing but cream, a few overcooked shrimps and shreads of rather rubbery squid. The pasta serving was huge and very small quantity of sauce.
But the place is very centrally located and relatively popular. Decor is perhaps a tad tacky (tropical paradise resort style) and prentious, but it's definitely ambitious and really quite ok. To give you an idea: You enter the place through a bridge that runs over a huge concrete goldfish pond.
They sometimes have a DJ and it's a good place to just have a drink.

We had dinner at the Riviera Saly tonight. We hesitated before deciding to go there due to some of the bad reviews. In the end we were glad we went.
We had a positive experience there despite couple of snafus.
The restaurant is in a prime location in town. 75% of the seating is outdoor, which is awesome especially during the current health crisis. I found the restaurant suitable for casual and romantic dining; however, I am hesitating to recommend it for families at night.
I have had better welcomes at restaurants; however we were seated fairly quickly and were provided with salted peanuts and olives to snack on. This was shortly followed by Accras (fried black eyes balls) and pastels (meat pies) which were very good.
The food we ordered was tasty and very flavourful. Kindly note that, the menu is written in portable blackboards. You may want to consult both sides before making up your mind.
- I ordered the lamb tagine and loved it
- My wife and 15 yr old ordered the chix tagine with prunes and apricot and found it delectable.
- my 11 yr old ordered lamb couscous. We sent back the first dish he was served because it was mainly composed of lamb fat. This was eventually made right. He liked what he ate.
As we were finishing up, Salam Diallo, a famous Senegalese musician, took the podium and regaled us with an amazing musical and dance spectacle. The senegalese twerking was out of this world.
The 4 instead of 5 stars is due to smoking (cigarettes and hookah) being allowed in group setting.
I like the fact they accept bank and credit cards payments. I used a Mastercard to settle my bill
Based on my experience today, I will be returning to this place next time I am in town.

The place is very nice and welcoming, I have been in the restaurant 🍽. You have various choices of food, drink or seating, plus the staff is very welcoming and friendly. 🤗
I recommend you to go once in the vicinity. 😘
Staff was responsive and most of them very friendly. My waitress offered a beef platter once she saw how little meat i received from the lamb platter. The food was ok, not outstanding but also not the worst by far. There was no pizza when we arrived but a huge group waiting before we arrived received their pizza and it looked great. Maybe I will be luckier next time.
I had a really good Tagine dish with couscous. It was so good I completely forgot to take a picture of it! The service was lacking some first but once they caught on, everything was really great!
