Great place! I was vegetarian today as I tried the papusa. One thing is that there was hardly any of the other ingredients in it and mostly just cheese. I thought they were made to order but they’re premade. Otherwise I wouldve got it without cheese. I loved the salsa and pickled cabbage that was on the side, so good! One of our favorite restaurants in Sherman and Denison. Consistently delicious, and a great atmosphere. Affordable as well. I’m a vegetarian and I find plenty of tasty options here. We enjoyed the food. A little confusing when entering, who knew you order before you find a seat. Go here for the food, we really found it authentic. Presentation not so much, everything served in take-out trays. We travel often from San Antonio, TX to Oklahoma and finally stumbled upon this gem on our way back home. I'm often disappointed in the experiences I have when trying other salvadorean restaurants in the Dallas area but this was not the case here. Everything was DELICIOUS and fresh! Yes, it took a little while to get our food but it was worth it. The young lady waiting the tables was very attentive despite there being a lunch crowd. The lady at the cashier was also nice and helpful. As we all know, most salvadorean places have a bad rap for providing slow service and subpar food (at least that's been my experience every single time) but I assure you this isn't the case here. Absolutely delicious place! It stands out among all the Tex-Mex here (it's Salvadorian) as a pleasant change when you want something different. Plus theres loads of imported snacks and treats inside to buy! Be ready to fight for a seat during lunch rush! Absolutely fantastic! We've had everything on the menu and it is all good! The staff is friendly, it's always busy, the flan is to die for! Nothing fancy, but oh, so good! Went due to the high reviews. The tamale ( what I went there for) was very dry and had no taste. The chips and salsa were good. The street taco was good.
