We had dinner at La Parada to see the Christmas lights, and of course always a visit to the loo, and La Parada’s are pretty cool loos. I was intrigued by how the loos flushed, and on closer inspection noticed the ‘nice buns’ note in the loo from the previous tenants (Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Italian). That’s taking branding to the next level, and also makes it difficult for future tenants to quickly / cheaply renovate when they move in 😂

Nestled in Melrose Arch lies this quaint restaurant. Very fancy looking and quite pricey. For drinks I asked for the Stellenbrau Weiss. Waiter came back and said they didn't have. Asked for the Part wolf Weiss, waiter came back and said they didn't have so had to settle for the lager. For starters we ordered the wagyu beef potstickers. Was nothing to right home about. Very oily, lazily pleated and very flat. Mains we had the crispy chicken burger, 300g ribeye and chicken wings. Food was alright I guess. Average I would say. They do have a very large variety on their menu, maybe we ordered the duds. Not very child friendly restaurant. I give it an above average score. Could be better and some room for improvement. The food was great. Alot of little plates is always the way to go. Service however was horrid. After asking for a glass of water twice I gave up and got it from the bar myself. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The decor is really aesthetically appealing. The food was nice, dining experience was good. We enjoyed ourselves and love how the place looks and feels. Loved our time at LA Parada Melrose Arch. the service is Awesome Steven and our waitress were amazing ensuring all our needs were met. Please go here for a meal drinks and shisha. We had a super dinner at La Parada this week with guests from Germany. Vuyo our waitress was an absolute gem, super charming and efficient. Really enjoyed the beetroot burger and the poke bowl. This is one La Parada I will definitely come back to. It is toned down then the others and the atmosphere is so refreshing. Our waiter Vuyiswa gave us the best service with so much humour and smiles. Loved her. Simon, I think he was the Restaurant Manager was very welcoming and even gave us a bit of history of the chain of restaurants. We absolutely enjoyed our brunch here. Laid back, easy going music. Keep it up. At some point I felt like I wasn’t in South Africa. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

had lunch and the food was good. The prawn and calamari pizza was quite unique and special. It had little or no cheese and was one of the most perfect pizza's we have ever had. Will try the tapas next time.

My friend and I were serviced by Vuyo. She was such a delight and so willing to cater to our needs. The wings we had were so warm and delicious.
