The resturant was really well designed and had a good vibe. 👍🏽 We were sat straight away and service was quick, even with it being a busy night! Food was delish! My husband got the wrong order, but what he ended up getting was really good so he didn't send it back. Haha. I got the shrimp tacos which is always a win in my book. Everyone MUST order the Elote fries!!! Overall, good experience and will be going back very soon! First of all ask for. Skyler. What a fantastically authentic person. His presence made my dining experience which was wonderful. Sitting outside near the fountain was so relaxing. I got the battered shrimp. The batter was a little too heavy for me. However the tacos were flavorful. And I enjoyed the meal. 3 tacos is a lot. So I have extra. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A bit dark that it was hard to see the menu. My tongue was sensitive to their spices because everything that was not spicy was still spicy to me. I was eating my food with running nose and teary eyes. The waiter left me the entire bottle of water and asked if I wanted a cup of milk but I refused and told him I will take it like a champ. Other than that, the food was delicious and the salsa with chips were addicting.

I loved this restaurant!! The margaritas were fantastic and the food was delicious. It's rare that you go somewhere and everything is good, but this place is the exception. We got a few appetizers including beans and guacamole, and our table tried a variety of the entrees- our group was 10 people so I don't know everything that was tried- but I had the tuna tacos and I know there were also fajitas and a mushroom dish that won over my family members. The server we had was also so kind (I think their name was Skylar?). They were attentive to our group, answered all our questions, and just above and beyond. It was my step brother's birthday and they also brought out a dessert with a candle which was awesome. If you get a middle high table, there's a bar for you to rest your feet, too. I thought I was going to be annoyed swinging my legs halfway through dinner but it truly feels like they thought of everything here! Highly recommend trying this spot out! Wonderful service and the food had vivid colors that grabbed your attention, and the flavors were there. Sat outside by the fountain, despite the construction going on, the atmosphere was lovely. Prices are a bit high, but comparable to other restaurants in that area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was good. The food was okay, I highly recommend their margaritas. The guacamole and chips are a must. Most of their food is spicy. Did not like the appetizers, we got the corn fries and Mexican rolls (too bland) Good atmosphere! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stopped here for dinner before a show. The food was beyond excellent and came out quickly. The margaritas were perfect and they are 1/2 price on Mondays. Skyler was our server and they were so friendly and accommodating. We seriously got the best service and I’d come back for that alone. Service here was great and restaurant is clean and spacious. The food was just ok though. They have a few different guacs which were pretty good, but the tacos didn’t really impress. Tuna tacos didn’t have enough meat and too much mayo sauce and cabbage as filler. Drinks were interesting and tons of options for margaritas. Super great meal this was probably 5th or more time going. Drinks can be a tad high but are delicious. Tacos are all pretty great. I got Tuna and Chilango to go and now eating those for breakfast. Tuesday is half off tacos. Tuna was good but I'd prefer if they cut up the pieces of tuna but it's a small critique. We got the hot salsa and bean dip both good hot salsa was the right hot did not bring tears. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

My group dined in on a busy Taco Tuesday (4 for $10, but you cannot mix and match) evening. The hostess at front warned us in advance, but we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food to be served. Our server was forgetful (one of my friends had specific requests due to certain dietary restrictions), but he was nice and made up for it by giving us queso and salsa on the house. Which brings me to my next point, La Mesa has the BEST TORTILLA CHIPS I’ve ever had!!!! I’m literally craving them as I’m writing this review. They’re thicker chips with amazing texture. The air pockets lend to an almost flaky tortilla chip, and they are seasoned well. The salsa roja also had amazing flavor development, and the queso was equally delicious. I normally don’t finish the chips at restaurants, but I devoured them at La Mesa and took the extra to-go. As for the tacos, I ordered the seared tuna. The tuna was fresh and soft, the slaw and mango pico were incredibly flavorful, and the aioli added a delectable creaminess. However, I wish they had salsas on the side like most other Mexican restaurants do. My friend ordered a side of guacamole, which was more on the chunky side, and notably spicy with the Serrano peppers. I personally prefer a smooth guacamole, but I still liked it in the end. Overall, there is a reason why this place gets so busy. The food is delicious, but be prepared to wait. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
