Excellent quality food - loved the tuna special of the day. A nice atmosphere and great service. Totally recommended.
Arrived at the restaurant and had to wait in a line, talking with the owner and another guest waiting started the experience. The owner then made me a table with a random side table to sit at so i didn't have to wait long, a very sweet thing to do. Good people and good food (the craft beer they sell is really good as well - the red) definitely a place to visit.
Found this little gem in town. Absolutely delicious! Also, the two girls working there were excellent at recommending the meal.
My family and I enjoyed a lunch of seafood (salmon, crab), pasta (gnocchi), and a chivito. The staff was warm and happy. We felt welcome. Desserts were a highlight. We had berry cheesecake and a chocolate/dulce de leche/marangue cake. Amazing. Easily the best meal of our week in Uruguay.

Very cool place in La Paloma. The food is amazing and the staff is super warm. They have indoor seating and a quite a bit of space outside too. The ambience is also great, so make sure to give it a go.
Best place in town for a casual dinner. Very small and familiar restaurant. Short but varied and exquisite menu. Short but well selected wines. Supervised by the super friendly owner, wearing shorts and 👕. I recommend the "baby beef", "milanesa napolitana" and "daily fish with cream potatoes".
Excellent. Great atmosphere slightly away from downtown. A brief menu of gourmet-ish dishes, not too edgy. Kid friendly. We had salmon, baby beef, chivito and curry chicken. All were nicely sized dishes. The staff it's great. Just one small complaint: there's a Coke fridge in the middle of the room. It's motor makes the place's wooden floor tremble like you're on a motorbike. When the door opens it's got a led light strip which is like a huge reflector.
While we had a nice time there, my wife has been very sick for the last 12 hours after eating the salmon salad. We have otherwise shared all other meals of the day so I can safely say that La Folie is responsible. Our last few days in Uruguay will be ruined due to their careless food prep. I'd like a refund but I don't see that happening. Avoid this place!!!! Edit: I should add that I originally left a very positive review of this place but after her troubles started I deleted the review. I have been messaging with the owner and unfortunately they don't seem willing to take responsibility.
One of La Paloma little secrets, simple friendly and great menú. From a guy that grew up here and live in Minnesota now , this was a great surprise. They are not restaurants like this around here, had the chicken curry, simple delicious.
