I recently ordered my daughters first birthday cake and cupcakes from here. I'm giving 2 stars because the cupcakes were good and I thought the prices were reasonable if you receive what you order..
My husband went to pick up the items and brought them back (3 minutes away). The cake was slanted (see photos)!!! When you order a cake from professional bakers, you do not expect slanted cakes... I asked for light pink and white ombre and received bright pink and no ombre transition at all. The image I provided for them to replicate had the design on the top as well, but received a flat, non decorated top. When I initially ordered the cake/cupcakes they lady writing my order couldn't provide any flavor options and "thought" it was only chocolate and vanilla, but I would have someone get back to me. She also didn't know if they could fill the cupcakes... However, I never received a phone call after ordering on a Friday, and finally called on Tuesday to follow up. What bakery only has vanilla and chocolate as flavor options but makes you follow up when you're ordering from them?? I felt like the service should have been better as again, this is supposed to be a professional establishment, but I will look elsewhere next time.

Ordered a sheet pound cake for my daughter’s baptism and I have never gotten so many complaints on a cake before. The cake was crumbling like saw dust and tasted extremely dry as if it were a week old or even stale.

Strawberry short cakes have been my favorite type of cake since I was a kid and I've had way too many through the years. After trying Kyj's last week, I have found my favorite strawberry short cake of all time. While talking to a friend about my wife's birthday plans, he suggested I try Kyj's strawberry short cake. With my wife's birthday the next day, I figured I'd call to see if there was any chance I could get a cake on such short notice. To my surprise, they said it wouldn't be a problem.
My wife and I absolutely loved the cake. Even our five-year-old daughter who has never enjoyed a single cake unless it's an ice cream cake ended up eating a fairly large slice. The cake wasn't too sweet, wasn't too dense nor too fluffy, and the strawberries were fresh. My only complaint is that they could not fit a happy birthday message due to the way the cake was decorated.
We might need to start celebrating more than just birthdays so that we can have an excuse to have more of Kyj's strawberry short cake!

I purchase the cheesecake brownie and cookies. They were really good and tasted fresh. Can’t wait to go back and buy some more

Nice little bakery with fresh baked goods. They have anything you could want here. They have cakes, ice cream cakes, cookies, doughnuts, and a wide assortment of other baked goods. They have a giant chocolate and peanut butter kandy cake. The staff here are very nice also.
