Pastry factory that sells a variety of products. A little pricey, but their roll butter and tear drop cheese cake was dense and buttery. Free coffee provided that goes well with their products.
A pancake factory featuring see-through production process beside the shop area. Lots of samples are available so that you may find your favorite cake. It takes appx 10min from Yilan train station by taxi.
Interesting stop to visit. You can see the actual cake making process from start to packaging and guests can taste quite a few different snacks. Can be very crowded at times.
Local dessert factory that sells Castella cakes, baumkechen cake, snow Cake?, cheese tarts, Dorayaki, ice cream, tiramisu, cream puff and cookies e.t.c.. Do note that some of the products have short shelf life.
We arrived at 1.30pm and there were already many locals (mainly seniors) visiting the store. We didn't get any sampling (perhaps due to post-covid or the local groups had finished all) or see any cakes in production.
There was a seating area where you can purchase their dessert and help yourself to free coffee from the machine.
Do visit if you intend to buy any of their products.
Very neat place! Lots of delicious desserts, and some charming seemingly European countries themes. Snacks and goods were a little bit expensive, but they were unlike anything else I had ever seen in Taiwan. I was very surprised at the differences between the flavors of each of the desserts: usually one shop has many shapes of 1 flavor, this one had many shapes and even more flavors there 🙂
