Travelling through the south of Thailand we visited Trang and stopped by this roadside restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with our dining experience. The restaurant provides mainly traditional Thai food but I believe there may have been a couple western food items on the menu. I don’t know if it would be considered one of the best thai food restaurants in Trang though with the meals we took they would easily be considered better than what I experienced in Bangkok.
We ordered two dishes; Pad Kra Pao and a Hokkien noodles. Both dishes were lightly sweet with perfect amount of seasoning.
There was No taste of MSG which was appreciated as the flavours came from the ingredients rather than from an additive.
The establishment was clean, ingredients were all fresh and crisp, and portion size was generous for the cost. Great quality budget food.
The restaurant owners were friendly and welcoming. The kitchen is an open style kitchen so I had the pleasure of watching the chef cook my food which was essentially a free Thai cooking lesson.
Adjacent to the restaurant is a drink stand serving iced coffee, thai tea, and milk bubble tea.
We will gladly return for a meal here once again before we make our way out of Trang and over to Krabi. We recommend this restaurant.
