Came here for the afternoon tea before the restaurant's open. Ordered honey cinnamon latte and chai tea, plus their bread platter and a cinnamon roll. Food is so tasty and breads fresh and well made, but they are so over priced you think you are in taipei. A pity. Popular Italian restaurant that needs to be booked before going. Food was ok, ambience is great, but the service quality was a bit too pretentious. I find it awkward that for an upscale restaurant, customers have to walk up to the cashier to pay. Service staff weren't particularly helpful either. Where's the HengChun hospitality? Note: This place is so popular it requires reservation via their online system!! Update: 3 months later the food and service is still excellent! This time we also got the mussels on their daily menu and the spaghetti bolognese. Amazing. Biggest, plumpest mussels we've ever had. The soup so good we had to get more bread! Even the spaghetti bolognese has so much meat sauce, each bite of spaghetti has more sauce than spaghetti xD So satisfying! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,400–1,600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Visited twice in a day, because a visitor like me just simply want to enjoy more of it. Great vibes it provided in southern Taiwan with post-modern industrial deco and nice taste of music selections. The service may make you frown at the reception, but at the dining area is ok. Mediterranean style cuisine all presented in decent quality and freshness, especially the seafood. House wine selections are good. Would recommend to skip those organic wines since it didn’t go well with the seafood. Dining time is a bit short though. I would love to visit again without doubt.

We’re downstairs for coffee break. It’s a hidden gem. Coffee, focaccia & creme brûlée are surprisingly good. But there’s a minimum spend for you to dine in. So spend MORE!!
The food was good but the “devil is in the details” and it could have been better: our risotto was super hot but the pasta were almost already cold when they get to the table. I was quite unimpressed by the appetizer (one slice of ham and 4 small bits of Brie cheese in too-salty bits of chopped lettuce with no dressing). The tiramisu was more of an ice cream rather than a cake and it would have been nice to know it. It’s also worth noting that the Sangria was amazing, the service was friendly and overall the food was tasty. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My second time dining here and I love it more than my first time. The reason is this time I went with 4 other friends, so we got to order variety of food and share together. Otherwise the portion for some of the food can be very small and quite pricey if you order for 2 people. But they pretty much nailed the taste of every plate. Fresh materials, well balanced flavors, and cooked perfectly👌🏼. Reservation is needed cause it’s very crowded even on weekdays. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $200–400
It is a nice Italian restaurant but the service is not good enough since too busy inside, I guess. But the pizza and pasta were so good. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Really nice break from the typical “Kenting strip” restaurants. Good ambience, excellent service, but call ahead for a reservation even on off nights. 90 min. Limit on tables but they fill up quick. May even look empty from the first floor because they save those tables for the coffee shop. Food was great, cooked well, and served promptly. Was leery of getting any of the pizzas after looking at the reviews and after observing other dinners….made the right choice by not doing pizza. But the other items ordered were great. All of the apps were amazing and portion to price was good. “Grandma’s apple pie” was good but don’t think American grandma style think for stylish Taipei grandma that likes fancy restaurants. A good option still, better to try all and go with friends. 4 stars instead of 5-noisy and crowded, could probably arrange seating better, and music was more a distraction than an addition to the overall experience. Would come back again though. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $800–1,000

We booked a table online and were told we'd only wait 10 minutes. But when we got there, we ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes, totalling a 30-minute delay. We ordered our food at 19:43 ahead of time to speed things up. When we finally sat down at 19:45, our drinks came fast, and the cheese plate we had ordered quickly followed. So far, so good. I ordered a second beer, and then the pasta arrived at 20:00. At 20:12, a server informed us it was the last call, which I found amusing since I was still waiting for my steak. I pointed this out, and she mentioned that steak takes longer to cook but offered no apology. Finally, at 20:15, my steak was served, and my wife had finished her pasta by then. It tasted great, but when I asked for some sauce for my fries, I learned none was available. I also had to remind the staff I needed a fork to properly enjoy my steak, as it was initially missing. Halfway through my meal, around 20:16, quite thirsty due to lots of dry fries and a big steak, I tried to order another beer. Initially, they said yes, but then they returned to say no because it was past the last call. This was confusing because no one clarified that last call meant no more drinks as well. When we raised this issue, the server blamed the downstairs reception for not informing us properly. Perhaps they expected me to pre-order my beer to have it sitting at my table, getting lukewarm? This restriction continued through the rest of my steak and fries meal, and surprisingly, into our dessert time, leaving us without beverage options for a significant part of our dining experience. The reason given was unclear communication about the last call, compounded by the server blaming the downstairs reception instead of directly addressing the gap in service. Despite these service inconsistencies, a 10% service charge was automatically added to our bill. While we appreciated the culinary skill in the main courses and dessert, the mandatory service charge amid the evening's challenges made us question the overall value of our experience. Reflecting on the evening, it's evident that better coordination between the kitchen and service staff, along with clearer communication about service policies, could have provided a more synchronized dining experience. Having experience in restaurant management, I understand the delicate balance between service and operations. However, the service missteps and the decision to apply a service charge without addressing our concerns highlight areas needing improvement. The food quality is commendable, but our service experience suggests a need for a more customer-focused approach. I hope this feedback is received constructively. Suggestions: Note to the reception downstairs: If someone orders a steak, inform them it will take longer, and maybe ask if other dishes should be staggered. Last order policy: Yes, for the kitchen, but if someone's meal has not arrived yet, perhaps make an exception for drinks. Or, if you're serving a meal significantly later (15 minutes) after the first plates, allow for a late drink order. After all, it's only 20:16, not midnight!
