Quaint beach bar with a nice wraparound, screened-in view of the ocean.
Food menu skews more “munchies” than even proper “bar food” — don’t come expecting to get a satisfying sit-down meal.
Mid-day on a Thursday and I was the only one here. Server was curt at best; a little like I was putting her out by ordering a drink.
I don’t think I’d order any drinks that take more than “put two ingredients and ice in a glass”, but it’s a lovely place to have a drink and stare out at the beautiful ocean.
Beautiful Location - poor service. Unfortunately the people working at the restaurant/bar have no drive to improve customer service. Please remember, without customers you have no job!
We were the only patrons in the Kingston Bight Beach Bar on a Monday around lunchtime and, truth be told, we stopped in mostly because the place was the closest restaurant to us when we needed wifi to check in for our flight home. But we're so glad we did! The food menu was extremely limited - only three items available on this particular day - but the other three members of my family raved about the fried chicken. As a vegetarian, I was left with no main meal available but I can vouch for the quality of the fries and coleslaw. The bar had several tap beers available, along with the standard selection of booze for mixed drinks, all served within a small screened area playing reggae music and late-era Elvis deep cuts. Cool vibe. Add a friendly bartender (slash owner, I'm guessing) and I would bet that this would be a fun place to spend an evening. And a great place for lunch, if you like what's on the menu.
Heard this place had great Mojitos. Well the first two we got were prepared wrong and and even the mint was turning black. Not stored properly or spoiled parts being picked off.
We also visited to eat food and it wasn't that great, too be honest most places we ate at was your average American bar food. It was a good thing for the views though.
Bar staff at another hotel recommended coming here. Got our bill and 2 wrong drinks were added and didnt realize until I looked at receipt the next day.
